You do realize the 6 year number they were talking about is for flow through, right? It seems as if you are taking about something different, perhaps street hire?

What is true for flow today, may not be true next year. Just like upgrade times. If you are going somewhere just because they currently have a short upgrade time you may be too late for that fast upgrade. If you avoid envoy now because the current time to flow is long, you may miss your opportunity to get through much faster than those before you did. You have to look at the situation and plans, and decide on those merits. I'm not saying envoys numbers will work like they have been stated, but they aren't impossible either.

Alright I got nothing. I've read and re-read your post and can't figure out the point you're trying to make. All I can say is that the airline industry is changing all the time. The 6 year timeline is based on information on hand today. That information is derived from hiring forecasts, retirements, flow agreements/arbitrations, and other facts.

You're free to come up with your own predictions as to where the industry will be in 6 years.

Or too long on the Atkins diet if you want to talk about Bacon Boy. Cujo handed him a beat down on Eagle Lounge recently that I'm still laughing over.
