Yup. There is nobody that doubts this. With the upcoming arbitration and the discussion of increasing the SSP that are happening at the same time, they will obviously be hitting us with something else. No one trusts AAG.
(and...it really takes a special person to wish ill-will on another pilot group)

Increased SSP? Haaaa. Doesn't sound likely.

1800 active. Still hiring simply to avoid Union calls for more in the flow through area. If recruitment were to shut down the union could make a case that we are properly staffed and the company would have to comply with the arbitration award of 50% of new hires at AA.

That number has been debated. TOTAL pilots there have been numbers between 2000 and 2200 and ACTIVE is between 1800 and 2000. Yes still hiring but only a few each month go to class and I believe most are just military guys staying or getting current until their buddy can get them in class.

And to contribute to the thread, no email as of yet. Probably under review. If Im thinking where the OP got his info from, I don't think that it's officially off the table. It sounds like (or I should say I'm hoping) he's calling their bluff again. Saying that this whole retention plan is just an illusion to keep us here longer. We'll see soon.

Interesting you know so much about and care so much about envoy. Considering the fact that you're "flying a GIV" to non existent airports and getting paid way, way above the average rate of GIV pilot.

As for officially off the table, I have no other information but the union needs to get it out there that it IS off the table. I think too many people who have been beat down these past 4-5 years with a never ending trail of bad news are just clinging to any hope. I know on a few occasions I have. It needs to be crushed and destroyed. There is no retention program and there never will be.

no one is waiting for a retention bonus. if you are at envoy as an f/o and approaching three years seniority and live around NYC and dont want to commute to ORD or DFW then Endeavor is a option, by 2018 if you get hired today, you will be 40 thousand dollars ahead than you would be at eagle and off reserve faster also.
those flowing in the next three years, short of all hiring stopping at aa, they are not leaving. they will wait for the flow.
in between these two groups is anyones guess.
