Yup. There is nobody that doubts this. With the upcoming arbitration and the discussion of increasing the SSP that are happening at the same time, they will obviously be hitting us with something else. No one trusts AAG.
(and...it really takes a special person to wish ill-will on another pilot group)

Increased SSP? Haaaa. Doesn't sound likely.

1800 active. Still hiring simply to avoid Union calls for more in the flow through area. If recruitment were to shut down the union could make a case that we are properly staffed and the company would have to comply with the arbitration award of 50% of new hires at AA.

Whats the big Cujo working on now? Something along the lines of CA's displacements deal its my bet. After all, he is one of the first to go back to FO.
Oh yeah, along with the rest of the MEC.
Goodluck!

That number has been debated. TOTAL pilots there have been numbers between 2000 and 2200 and ACTIVE is between 1800 and 2000. Yes still hiring but only a few each month go to class and I believe most are just military guys staying or getting current until their buddy can get them in class.

And to contribute to the thread, no email as of yet. Probably under review. If Im thinking where the OP got his info from, I don't think that it's officially off the table. It sounds like (or I should say I'm hoping) he's calling their bluff again. Saying that this whole retention plan is just an illusion to keep us here longer. We'll see soon.
