No retention bonus at envoy
#21
Interesting you know so much about and care so much about envoy. Considering the fact that you're "flying a GIV" to non existent airports and getting paid way, way above the average rate of GIV pilot.
And to contribute to the thread, no email as of yet. Probably under review. If Im thinking where the OP got his info from, I don't think that it's officially off the table. It sounds like (or I should say I'm hoping) he's calling their bluff again. Saying that this whole retention plan is just an illusion to keep us here longer. We'll see soon.

As for officially off the table, I have no other information but the union needs to get it out there that it IS off the table. I think too many people who have been beat down these past 4-5 years with a never ending trail of bad news are just clinging to any hope. I know on a few occasions I have. It needs to be crushed and destroyed. There is no retention program and there never will be.

I have very good friends over there still. Keep waiting on retention bonus. Why pay you guys to keep you around when your company already said that you guys are overstaffed? Are you guys morons? Your MEC and company are playing you guys very well. Its entertaining!

no one is waiting for a retention bonus. if you are at envoy as an f/o and approaching three years seniority and live around NYC and dont want to commute to ORD or DFW then Endeavor is a option, by 2018 if you get hired today, you will be 40 thousand dollars ahead than you would be at eagle and off reserve faster also.
those flowing in the next three years, short of all hiring stopping at aa, they are not leaving. they will wait for the flow.
in between these two groups is anyones guess.

Yup. There is nobody that doubts this. With the upcoming arbitration and the discussion of increasing the SSP that are happening at the same time, they will obviously be hitting us with something else. No one trusts AAG.
(and...it really takes a special person to wish ill-will on another pilot group)

No ill-will being wished from me. I have a question for you though. Do you really believe that management will not try and make you guys even cheaper than the rest of the competition? I am just asking you to sit in their shoes for a minute. When they asked for the 12/4 deal, do you think AAG was really hurting that badly they were on the verge of filing chapter 11 if they didn't get what they wanted? Put all the threats they made aside and think about that. Then think about if they would do it again. The answer is blatantly obvious. What I said earlier was not an attack on your pilot group. It's pure fact of this sector of the business. Do it as cheap as you can and keep going for more. What do they have to lose by trying to make regionals cheaper and increase their profit? Because AAG is a non-profit agency right?

I agree with you completely about what AAG will likely do next. Once Envoy gets smaller and cheaper, then it will start again and Envoy will be played against PSA. That is how it works for them.
It is the management that is the problem.

Bolded in red ^^^^^^
I believe that is the main reason on why PSA voted in the TA. Look how easy it is to transfer aircraft. Envoy 47 700's to PSA. PSA had 49 before the TA was approved. As you can see it would of been a joke for AAG to transfer PSA's whole fleet elsewhere (14 700's to envoy and 35 200's to Air Wisconson would of been feasible). Its obvious that the threats made against PSA were in fact legitimate about closing shop. That is my speculation.
