Ok got another counterpoint. We had a base close as well, shifting flying from CLT to DFW and leaving LAX to move those A/C to DFW. With all that we are still if anything posting average numbers.
So yes maybe our performance is terriable in DFW and that is entirely our fault? We are the best performing regional on the United side and as far as AA in PHX we have had no problems what so ever. AMR knows this hence why we are not going anywhere. The majority of our problems in DFW are those god awful rampers and gate agents.

So the ramp managers have been having meetings with the chief pilot for no reason? I've seen multiple ramp managers running around the ramp like crazy as of late for no reason as well? Also don't forget we are an all CRJ9 operation in DFW unlike you guys which means more passengers and bags in the same amount of time.

Lately, to be perfectly honest, all of my flights have left on time, and departed on time. The rampers have been waiting for us at the gate when we pull in, and they get us out on time. If there are two hour delays, I agree, that has nothing to do with rampers. My D0 and A+15 have been nearly perfect the last couple of weeks. Something has changed, seemingly overnight.

The real problem is maintenance. Without a hanger and well staffed mechanics it has been difficult. As soon as they have the maintenance piece in place things will run much like the other bases. Ground handling has been much better though, and with the addition of more gates less planes will sit and wait to be parked.

Hate to break it to you guys, but Mesa isn't going anywhere. Its been operating like that for decades and your master Parker aint ditching them.
Do you really feel sorry for those 25yr CA's having crappy schedules? Just wait till those juicy 5 day trips show up. They had the chance to flow to AA but instead, they decided to ride that gravy train that was L-Eagle. I bet half of them are regretting their decision.
Good Luck!
