It's funny when guys that have finally moved on after the lost decade, post here in the regional section, and dream up scenarios where pilots get screwed because of X or Y happening. The paradigm has shifted, and they are stuck in the lost decade. The next decade will not look anything like the last one.

I am currently building my resume at Envoy (very junior), do you know what my plan is if the flow gets screwed? Go somewhere else! It's remarkable easy to find another job flying airplanes these days! With a couple of years 121 experience, LCC's are already taking guys like me. Overseas carriers are also starting to hurt for pilots. Pilot supply is only going to get tighter.

So, I guess I'm speaking to the new guys entering the 121 world when I say, don't stress too much about where to go. Your skills are in demand. If things don't work out at the place you choose, go somewhere else. With a couple of years experience, it will most likely be a move up.

It's a good time to be an airline pilot.
Stop making sense!!!! Eaglefly is right, everybody else is wrong!!! The flow will
Stop and Envoy will be merged with another carrier, and we are about to get an eye opener!!!!!!!!!!! The sky is falling!!!!

Im not saying he is right or wrong, but you have to be realistic. How in the world envoy will hire 400 new hires in a year?

The 824's will be gone. No doubt about it. The next group, the protected pilots, on the other hand, might send just a few because like it or not, the landscape will change once they can't hire 400 New hires.

No new hires on board, NO flow. Cuj keeps selling how great it is. He well knows about the shortage out there because in the end, NO one can staff it.....

Good Luck!

Default Envoy done with AA flows for 2015.

Alex Sidie states:*

"We have a pool of pilots from which to fill this year's classes. We will pull another list sometime prior to the end of the year for classes starting next year."

I like how management makes statements and then immediately contradicts their own statements.

There is no contradiction (not yet anyway!). There is a humungous difference between flow SELECTION and flow CLASSES.

Yeah this isn't a huge issue, guys that have been selected get put in a pool and then given classes. Its not an immediate oh you are awarded flow and then right to class.

It still wont stop certain trolls from making new threads titled something like "NO NEW ENVOY FLOWS REST OF YEAR - GOOD LUCK!".
Guys will still come off the seniority list every month as part of the flow.

Nothing exciting here.
