The Company can put a permanent base there anytime they want. The pilots are done making concessions for AAG's bad decisions.
We tried to be part of the staffing solution by voting no to consecutive unnecessary pay cuts. But management broke us down via threats and intimidation. A good contract and good domiciles are what bring in new hires, and those are what we pilots have fought for, and what management has fought against. It is disingenuous for a management member to post on here that pilots are the problem, while referring to a proposed band-aid over one of management's self-inflicted wounds. |
What hotels are being used for training in DFW & STL? Just trying to figure out the lay of the land and see how far my gym is from everything.

Hotel in DFW should be the Holiday Inn on the corner of 121 and 183. (Don't think they use the Atrium for training) not sure about stl.

STL is the Drury Inn by the airport.

If he truly is a member of management, then that would seem to indicate they are aware of the issues and even with that, simply couldn't care less. In other words, nothing has changed and likely nothing will because it's still the pilots fault.
Jack Russell is right though. A key distinguishing characteristic of a great management team to a horrible one, is whether they take personal responsibility for their company's state or push the blame on someone else. It would seem to me that is the only thing some of our managers are good at, passing the blame (and responsibility) to someone else. |

He is just an asst CP. Not a high level manager like some believe. Unfortunately, I do believe that such an attitude does exist among the higher level management. It really is too bad. I don't think that envoy is any worse than all the other regionals but it used to be a great place. So much better than it is now. Pilots like me came to Eagle, despite the high upgrade times, because of that.

Not much around the Drury, unfortunately. But on the plus side, you can take the hotel bus back to the airport and go to downtown STL and stuff to kill time on off days. Also they have dinner there every night and 2 free drinks.
