I'd rather the company not have scared off 500+ pilots with their Comair II threats. Pilots we need right now.

Except their reserve system is light-years ahead of ours. CS calling to offer trips in seniority order. Long call. No pre-assigned 4 AM RAP.

Oh REALLY now? And how many MA's, PG's, or UA's did you get as a result?

Sorry, but that's bull****. I had 8 days off last month, and talking with other pilots I know, there are a lot of people that are getting burnt out. In the ten years I've been at envoy, I have NEVER seen our QOL be worse than it is right now. That's not whining, that's simply fact. "Accepting the lifestyle" doesn't mean someone should live only to work. That's a miserable existence, and not something ANYONE is willing to sign up for, nor did they. The DFW CPO told me the other day that management is simply no longer able to hide the amount of crew cancellations anymore. Management lackies like cr700 had better wake up fast or the situation will spiral out of their control.

Who, me or the guy that's trying to tell us how our contract was crappy while ignoring the good? I think I made a pretty good case as to how our contract shielded us in the face of many other airlines failing.

As to the JM issue and lousy schedules I'm with TrinityD on this one. I have info directly from the pilot who was jm'd an additional 3 days. It's happening folks. We may be getting new hires but life stinks in the trenches.

...extra flying is extra flying, whether or not it makes any sense to us. extra flying from other airlines' slack is putting food on the table.

it could be worse, we could lose flying and downgrade or possibly furlough?

I read the post above and it made me sick in the gut. As we approach Thankgiving holiday in a few weeks, I just want to thank the good man upstair for creating very very very very few pilots at Envoy with concessionary views like the person above.

I'm so thankful for those who have fought the good fight, or else we'd all be screwed. Our family's would be in shambles as well as our profession. Thankful because the safety of countless other familes would be in jeapordy with that persons' false "Business mindset." I choose family's over profits everyday I do my job. I hope smart people at this company can figure that out. Figure out that we can have both family & profit as a priority. A happy workforce is a productive, effective, and efficient workforce. We are capable.

Not once did I say it isn't a business. I said it's an inefficient business. At every turn it has been an inefficient way of maintaining the operation. Like I said it was AAGs decision to close two bases. Caused over half our group to be commuters. Waited x number of time to increase FO pay to attract new hires and retain them. And finally come to reality that they screwed up on closing said bases. Still they yet to fix our schedules and eliminate the inefficiencies they have created. But some are just fine and dandy with how their boat is sailing now. Sorry, but unlike those who are content, I am not. I didn't tell AAG to mismanage our work. I fly what they assign, but refuse to say "it's okay" or it's all wine and roses here.

...you forgot to ask your false prophet to give you courage and strength to go to said company. (if you find one)

when I mentioned profit > people, I was referring to this industry that I work in. I would include you but Im not sure if you've completed your type ride yet! this company could careless about our quality of life

things here are not perfect, but nothing in life is! you make the best of what you've got!!!

I just find it comical that people complain that their lives are so miserable but yet continue to report back for duty - day in, day out!

what will change when you or they finally make it to mainline?

Most of the time around here anymore, it is like I have asked for a nice Altbier from the bartender and what was sat down in front of me was an Old Milwaukee.

I never accused you of that

...yes it is, at least to you and I! the decisions they made look great on paper at the time and that's all that matters to them - their bottom line!

that's understandable! not attacking your character personally because I try to respect my "coworkers" but things could be worse, that's all I'm saying

There are many different levels of the uneducated but hijo, you have reached the most high. In the climate of which we are in now, all carriers are hiring. Many more than Envoy offer a better pay and most of all, every one of them offer a better life quality.

I believe that you must be very young and do not understand what is happening now. Listen to the wise ones here who are correct in that the life at Envoy is far, far from roses. It's very bad in fact.

The guy that gets to fly 9 days a month for $300,000 a year is the exception, not the rule.

I have never done a JM that I didn't "want" to do. Either grow a pair or grow up and accept the lifestyle of the profession you chose or take control of your life and find a new line of work. Because all I am hearing is a bunch of millennial cry babies whining that they can't have their cake cake and eat it too.
Mr. Flamesky, are you management? Or maybe it is that you work in the recruiting department. Another level of uneducated post.
