Hey just a heads up you might not want to express that point of view with you when you show up here next week. Especially when you are getting paid more than any other FO on property and you find it hard to see why someone is upset at the company. Those senior FOs and junior captains you will be flying with went through 5 base closures, bankruptcy, stagnation, and have been hit twice recently with concessionary contracts, threats of shutting us down, and a big FU we don't have to pay you more money we will just pay new hires 20k bonuses to keep this place a float.

Glad to have you here but telling a gu who spent 5,6,7,8 years here to quit and go to the bottom somewhere else is a huge insult especially coming for a new guy.

YUP! Can't reason with arrogant, stupid, and crazy. But he'll get a rude awakening with his "2nd career"

Pedro-

What point of view? To not make a change if your unhappy with your circumstances?

Unfortunately I have plenty of my own battle scars and life experiences to be justified to comment. As far getting the sign on, I wish it was reflected in hourly pay for all.

I'm looking forward to next week and the experience Envoy has to offer.

You have no shortage of assumptions and name calling. Unfortunate. I'm already an ATP, typed in the E175 and in 121 world. I had my rude awaking in a place far worse.

Bud, you started the attack and now I'm just trolling you.

But when I stick my head in your class during my upgrade, I bet you'll stick out like a sore thumb.

Oh, and congrats on your 175 time. That gives your argument much more clout.

Jeeze! Theses will be the jokers slinging my gear?

You have the right attitude. Your Envoy experience is going to be great. Won't be long and you'll be in an AA cockpit. Welcome.

You won't get all that much actual flight time as a reserve (best guess is 40-60 hours), but you will log a ton of sitting around the airport time, sitting in hotel time, sitting in the back of planes deadheading time. You will work on all but 8 to 11 days of the month.

So getting back on track, can I ask if anyone can recommend a good crashpad in ORD? I have been looking on Crashpad411 and there seem to be quite a few, but I am always open to suggestions.

I've heard of guys skipping the crash pad experience due to our hotel allowance. A few have claimed that some months it saves them cash, other months it's 4/5 hotels out of pocket.

I know its a lot of vauge info, but just giving you another option you might've not considered.

Good luck.
