Yes, closing LGA and MIA may have been premature. However, the company was planning for RAH to fill the gap in MIA as they needed the 175's for those lucrative routes. As we know, staffing became an issue for RAH and that continued our flying down there.
Let me say this about the current Envoy. We have evolved from the mostly sole feeder to AA to competing with other regionals for flying. Since this transition over the past 4 years, comparing Envoy to all the regionals flying for AA, Envoy is hands down the best. We provide the best product, ontime flights, professional staff in comparison to the other companies.
In a lot of ways we have maintained this special relationship with AAG as we have progressed into the era of competing regionals at American. How, you ask?
We have the best flow in the industry. No other regional comes close.
We are transitioning gradually to an all E175 fleet. This is the top of the line "regional" jet. Everyone knows though that this isn't a real regional jet. The other two WO's fly the regional jets. We fly routes that AA does. In a way, you could see we are a hybrid mainline American. Before you start saying how stupid this is, read the next point.
Which brings me to, we have one interview. It's an AA interview. You interview, hire into Envoy and less than 6 years later you are at American. You don't have to do another interview or a medical. You simply transfer over as you would if you had bid the E175 coming from the E145.
Not a single other "regional" carrier in the U.S. has this. AAG wants it this way. They want a cradle to grave employment opportunity. That way, Envoy gets the best and the brightest out there. Envoy isn't Mesa. We don't "interview" over the phone and the interview isn't easy. It shouldn't be. It's an American Airlines interview.
So, tell me again why you can't be positive about Envoy?

Congrats, you are flying your future job for a fraction of the price.

Well said. My opinion based on aag actions envoy is comair 2, slowly being reduced to an all e175 fleet, all 40 of them.
Next month skw is doing as many flights in ord as envoy, in other words envoy has shrunk 50 percent in ord.
DFW another 25 percent. LGA is gearing up by envoy to hand it over to Piedmont with the 80 emb145 s envoy will be handing over to them.
MIA will be all RAH by June 2016. LAX compass contract is until 2020.
Yes you new hire looking for stability and a good pay check and quality of life, DO NOT COME HERE.
Quality here sucks, schedules suck, benefits suck.
But if you want to listen to the management and training trolls here, that is totally up to you.

If you didn't catch the post, Envoy just announced another 100 upgrades yesterday. This is very likely going to take us halfway through our 2011 hires. We hired big, big numbers that year. I came on here and said that the upgrade was going to drop like a rock. Here's the first shot of what is going to be more vacancy bids that will get to at least the 2.5 year mark if not below that number.
We are flowing 330 or more to AA in 2017. Great times ahead at the Voy. Get in now on the front of the wave!

Nope. Didn't lie at all. I'm sure you have no idea of the inner workings of what actually goes on between Envoy management and AAG regarding staffing requirements on both sides. To say the least it's a very delicate dance and a very fluid process. Envoy gives the best projections with the information they have at the time. To say that 330+ is a violation or just flat out worthless is totally ridiculous. It's still highly possible that we could end up flowing 360+. Good for everyone at Envoy.

The only reason anyone would lie or exaggerate to persuade new hires would be because you think the truth isn't good enough.
Here's the truth: AA asked envoy if they could send over 400 next year. Envoy apparently said no, and is publicly projecting 330. Envoy is only contractually obligated to send around 285. Envoy has overstated flow numbers in the past. Envoy has violated the contract repeatedly in the past. 285 is still a large number of flows. So why lie?
