More growth + not meeting hiring expectations= Less or stagnant flow.

Hiring 300 hundred pilots this year?

Good Luck!

You just need to stop posting... You do more harm than good. When you try to paint envoy as paradise, rainbows and unicorns it just makes everything you say sound foolish.

I have enjoyed my time here at envoy. I would advocate working for envoy only if you live in base. With that said the current reserve rules, length of time on reserve, and managements continuation of violating our contract is why I would not recommend people coming here if they have to commute.

True. I was here for 7 bases, 4 fleets and a lot more aircraft, but how does that apply to a new hire today? Fortunately for them, They don't have to live through the stagnation and shrinkage we did.

137 up to 150 is what applies to them. The trend is back upward right now.

Envoy team –
As American Airlines CEO Doug Parker reiterated just last week in an employee meeting, the key to success in our industry is providing safe and reliable regional feed to American at a competitive cost.
Due to everyone’s hard work and Envoy’s terrific operating performance recently, I’m excited to share proof of that statement – as American has just added five additional aircraft to Envoy’s fleet, starting in May.
Work is already underway to reactivate three Embraer 140 (E140) that have been parked, in order to have them ready to begin flying the May schedule and beyond. Additionally, American will return two of the 16 Embraer 145 (E145) aircraft that are currently being operated by ExpressJet to Envoy, to ensure reliable support for the summer schedule.
The return of these five aircraft, in addition to the new Embraer 175 (E175) aircraft we continue to receive each month, sets Envoy on a positive and exciting path forward. After starting the year with 137 aircraft in our fleet,*we’ll be up to 150 by June.
All of these incremental aircraft are a vote of confidence in Envoy’s ability to deliver a safe and reliable product for American’s customers – and a testament to our team’s accomplishments. More aircraft also mean more jobs – as we continue to hire more than 300 Pilots and 400 Flight Attendants this year, we’ll also be adding Mechanics and other ground employees. And if we continue to perform as successfully as we have been operating, I’m confident that we’ll continue to see more opportunities in the future.
None of this could be possible without the outstanding team we have at Envoy. From the front lines to the back office, our employees are absolutely committed to the future of this company, and I am so proud of what we have achieved – and will continue to achieve – together.
Thank you for all you do,
Excellent spin. The only reason they are pulling 140s back online is that most of the ffd airlines can't accept additional flying requested by AAG ( this is the reason xjt is returning 2 EMB-145s. It's not because AAG was dying to give them back to Envoy). Of course they're going to spin it this way. Envoy is still slightly overstaffed so they can take what others can't right now. If it happened to be another airline that had pilots these airframes would go there and " insert airline here"_________ would put out a press release cheerleading that airline.

Nobody should be excited about more flying coming to any "regional".

All this did was reduce the girth of a previously well polished turd - I do wish Envoy pilots the best of luck. I just don't see how the flow is going to materialize within the promised time frame unless Envoy can keep up with hiring throughout the entire timeline, and it sounds like they can barely fill classes right now. In the meanwhile, other regionals, which have no flow are still filling classes without an issue.

While not bad news, is the addition of 5 not so shiny 44-50 seaters going to produce the stampede to Envoy it claims it needs ?

Considering the present overstaffing situation, it might improve the schedules though. So far Envoy has managed to scrape up and shanghai 40 pilots through the first quarter (while losing 136) with all they can think of and if the goal is 300 for the year, they are HALF of where they need to be by now.

Thus, one must ask is this simply about meeting Summer flying goals or can Envoy truly move into the future without significant contraction ?

This latest "bombshell" really hasn't altered my outlook.
