Envoy Withholds CA Upgrades
#51
Most likely not. The issue is their current status which is short staffed creating the withholding. Upgrading to different equipment doesn't change the status that they are leaving. Another issue is one of a vacancy bid. In years past we consistently ran one a month, these days we may see a vacancy every 3-4 months. 2 bases and 2 stagnant fleets equals minimal upgrade opportunities.

It was 12 people total on the 175 held back anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months from their original plan depending on their seniority. I think the longest delay for a couple of those guys was right about 2 months. I was expecting the delays to be a lot longer from the way they made it sound.

First, sorry, I've been all over the forum trying to figure out the upholding action, if it was mention again, apologize, ..so, if they hold flow ups, are those flowing will be released immediately after the staff issue is over, or do they have to wait till next available calls for class, with the subsequent flow-ups !?!....thx

I'm sorry but this is a prime example of the heat being turned up on the frog in the pot. The frog doesn't even notice until he is cooked. The same is true of Envoy management. They do just a little more each time in finding ways to harm the pilot group either as a result of their mismangement or just out of pure vindictiveness. The masses are so used to the bad news that they think nothing of it anymore. I know it doesn't affect you, but what about those 12 guys who have waited so long for their chance?

On the first issue, when the AA letter T pilots are done with recall and filling of classes then envoy SHOULD be flowing a minimum of 30 pilots. If and when that happens is anybodys guess. Some people say the end of the 3rd quarter. Second issue of our FOs they should be in upgrade class after summer. But yet again it depends on what the company wants to do and not us the pilots.
I've been here for almost 10 years. I upgraded 2 years ago on the EMB. I'm still on reserve and I'm getting closer to the bottom of the list not off of it. My "projected flow" two years ago, was two years. So I should have been gone already but here I sit for what it says another two years. I'm putting my stuff out there and hopefully I'll get to leave Envoy. This place was once a great place to work. My crews are always a blast to fly with and that's what I'll miss from this place. Management knows what needs to be done. Pay, reserve rules, line values and overall work rules. Until they address the issue instead of putting band aids out on things that are too little too late, no one will really come here and people of my senority and lower will leave at the first chance they get. Just my opinion from a line pilot.
