Not like they have never honored a contract before.......

You really think they will just keep flowing full speed when they cant even hire for attrition? If you think they will I have a goose to sell you too....

Envoy Flow #'s

Look at all these envoy experts popping out of the woodwork. One doesn't work for envoy, the other claims to have just been hired into the 175.

That's ridiculous.

The only thing that you've gotten right is that the flow is contractually going to slow, and you didn't even get it right because you know the contract. You got it right out of ignorance because you're throwing **** at the wall to see what sticks.

A senior captain told you? I bet you could find senior captains that will tell you that we're getting stapled to AA's seniority list with DOH, we're merging with JetBlue, RAH is buying us, or that we're opening a satellite base on the ISS.

AA needs the pilots. If they don't flow, then the guy who was going to flow leaves for a non-AA carrier, and the prospective new hire to fill that guy's spot also goes to a non-AA carrier, as he sees the flow not working.

If AA wants to fly their current passengers, they need their current pilots. If they don't flow, their passengers won't fly on AA, because they'll be flying on the other carrier's aircraft, crewed by the AA guys who left.

PILOT SHORTAGE. It's happening.

Do you really think they will not offer any greater incentives? Management has already demonstrated that they will offer positive changes to pilot compensation to get new hires in the door. Why do you assume that no other incentives or changes would ever be implemented? Why are your only options "Stop the Flow" or "Shut the Door"? If you get off the localizer, do you just throw your hands up and say "We're Doomed!" or do you input a correction to the extent necessary to achieve your desired result?

We are currently on Version 8 of the Flow. Changes have already been made, positive changes. A reasonable person would assume that recent and current trends are a better indicator of future actions than a complete 180 from those current trends.

It's possible. Any choice one makes involves risk. The Flow could stop. (ISIS could also invade and we could all be living under Sharia Law.) But getting called for an interview is even less of a guarantee. Then one must secure the job. Yes the flow is not a 100% sure but the idea that we will all be able to just pick the major airline and have a guarantee job is even more of a pipe dream. I don't know if I would recommend that someone make a lateral move to chase an airline with a flow but for a 1500 hr new hire that can choose to go to any number of regionals, all other things being equal, choosing a regional with flow gives them one more option than one without. Just because someone works for a regional with flow, they can still apply a job, attend a job fair and interview at another Major just like everyone else. They just have a back up plan. Personally, I always like having a little extra fuel.

There was a more detailed chart up there prior to this, but this is what's on Envoy's APC Profile:

This is the perfect example of a pilot that is already on property screwing the new pilots, and the pilots of the future.

This is a flow with a B scale(and a C scale, D scale)

Nice job, Envoy! Way to advance the industry.

Actually the 824 and protected pilot agreements were awarded in arbitration years ago. The pilots hired after 2011 had no flow until the last contract was signed in 2014. As one of those pilots, I'm very glad they negotiated for it.
