No. The protected pilots came about due to a negotiation between the company and the MEC after AMR informered the MEC that they were transferring ownership of the aircraft to AA. The MEC filed a grievance and rather then go to arbitration, the protected pilot agreement was negotiated. The planes were going to AA with or without the MEC's blessing.

This right here^^^. After letter 3 expired the flow was dead. The arbitrated award and negotiated flow happened later. I would hazard to guess that Eagle was all for the flow if they thought at the time that it would help rid them of senior pilots. Recruiting issues weren't even on the radar yet.

The current flow is part of an ARBITRATION. The next group of flows is part of a negotiation between company and the union.
How is the company following the contract these days?

Let me ask you a question? Are you sure the sun is going to come up tomorrow? Then have faith. AAG/ENY management are trustworthy and will honor this contract to the letter.
Just relax. This is supposed to be a "safe space" for Envoy underachievers who can't get hired anywhere else.

Dude, what about "it's contractual" do you not understand? It's written in stone in the contract. Envoy WILL flow X number of Protected Pilots, etc.
