CGN Layovers

You're probably already been & gone. Maybe this will help for next time.
We all want to know where to eat, so that'll be the primary gouge I have for you. Hotel staff can get you maps and directions if these aren't available.
Malzmühle - good restaurant, close to hotel
Out front door of hotel, go left and walk to the main square (5 min walk at most). The square will be to your left. Go right, across the railroad tracks, walk straight and you'll see the restaurant in front of you.
There are a couple of good pita/gyro type places in the square if you need the late night, drunk neck pack.
Gasthaus Brungs - another good restaurant, close to hotel.
Out the side door of Harry's bar and go left. Walk through the first intersection and continue to the next main road (Marsplatz). Go right and it's a red brick building with an open square in front on the left.
There's a hotel that specializes in Schweinshaxe (pig knuckle) that I think is called Schweinshaxe Haus. Check with the concierge on that one. It's further from the hotel by the river.
I won’t bother trying to steer you to a bar. They’re not hard to find. Harry’s in the hotel works pretty well.
The Dom Cathedral is worth doing. The walk to the top is a good work out.
