FWIW, an e-mail was sent out that a "Special MEC Meeting" would be taking place this week at the UA MEC headquarters in Chicago. Take it for what it's worth.
I'm actually optimistic, but I've been hearing "there's a big announcement coming (insert date)" for the last 10+ years...

I know United’s MEC wants to bring 76 seaters back in-house (including RAH and SKW flying). It would be interesting if United buys Xjet and then starts bringing that flying back in-house. Since the 76 seaters would come back in-house as they come off contract with regionals, it would be a slow transition. Maybe, this is part of the discussions if United has serious interest to buy Xjet.

I was expecting some kind of announcement, given the special meeting in Rosemont Wednesday. Since it will adversely impact someone’s stock, it will come after the bell today (Friday). I’m not staying up for it.

The “meeting” is a “Special Session Meeting” at the UA MEC offices in Chicago. It’s probably nothing, but it’s Weds-Fri this week. Nothing has been said of what the topic of discussion is, but it’s definitely interesting that the meeting is being held there, and not the XJT MEC offices in our largest base, IAH.
