With people supporting a whipsaw and running to fleabag operations like C5?

What are folks supposed to do?

This was unexpected. I certainly thought things would stretch out to 2020. Many people had to bail on short notice.

What do you expect people to do? Stay til the bitter end, and probably go non-current?

“Whipsaw” is a stupid ass term. Everything can be thought of as a “whipsaw.” It’s meaningless. There are no “whipsaw-free” jobs-unless you work for yourself.

Yeah. Keep lowering that bar at C5.

Way better places to go than C5. Endeavor or Republic would be my top choices. Or AA WO if you feel like you need a flow. If you want west coast, Horizon or Compass.

Blows me away why anyone goes to Commutair or Transtates! Deadend with 50 seaters only. Same shape we are in without bigger planes.

Yes, a 4/2012 hire. Which would be like a mid seniority CA at any other regional. I only spoke with him once via email. He gave me a very pro company vibe, almost as if his response was coming from management itself. I even called him out on it. Half of these union guys get a little too cozy with management and forget who they represent. Don’t know what to make of this guy.

Interesting. The CRJ MEC chairman is about as old school as you can get. 3/91 hire. Gruff, but good guy. Good old boy look but that’s deceiving as he’s pretty sharp. You always want to tune in when he speaks as you never know what he will say. I wouldn’t call him pro company, but he does have a good relationship with management.

So was the super secret meeting in Chicago to do with new MEC Chairman, or something else? No word yet?

The lack of communication from “management” (care takers is probably a better phrase), and union leadership is stunning. Pretty much the only communication we’ve had recently is admonishment to ignore rumors and the regular announcement of bad news. Oh, and an occasional “keep the faith.”
