Promise was too strong a word. But, it also makes some assumptions that United will be able to increase its regional dual class fleet. Good luck with that.

You think SkyWest sold XJT with out some solid deal?? That verbiage is some brand new corporate communications graduate. SkyWest knows exactly what they firmed up from this deal...

It is an agreement based on United’s pilot union relenting. Still not an overnight deal. Also, by “priority”, I am sure the deal requires SkyWest to bid competitively whenever there are new aircraft to be had.

We will see how this plays out over the next few months. I assume you mean new aircraft replacing other aircraft leaving the UAX portfolio. Given the Republic agreement, it looks to me like those can only be GoJet’s or Mesa’s dual class aircraft unless United’s union strikes a deal or SNB aircraft are added.

The deal could’ve been “sell us xjt or we’ll cut you off”. No major is going to yield to a regional.
