And United is throwing even more flying at us, per a recent email. Hence the 200% strategy.

While this tactic may cover some flights with people already on property; it does not address the elephant in the room - staffing. They longer they wait the worse this gets. My two last First Officers are leaving for greener pastures.
It is actually funny watching the business acrobatics taking place in order to keep the regional golden goose laying eggs.

Well, in most cases, to be above 80 hrs a pilot would have barely 13 days or less days off. So the idea of picking up open time would put many pilots at only 10 or less days. Besides, pilots Can't call sick, it seems extremely restrictive. I would have preferred that the Union had negotiated 200% at company discretion no strings attached. I don't like it as it has been proposed. Who knows, it may work, but I seriously doubt it .

Well maybe in Houston....and someone who doesn’t know how to work the ILIW. I can usually get 16-19 days off a month in EWR and 75 hours.

Re-fleeting is great news for them.. Good for recruiting. They can lease out the old 700/900's just like they leased 15 old CRJ 200's to you. it's not all old news...
