Most places require business casual, which usually means dockers/slacks and a collar of some sort. Generally no jeans or tee shirts. In the real world business casual means non-athletic shoes but you can probably get away with sneakers at a regional.
For checkride day plan on slacks, belt, leather shoesbutton-down shirt, and tie unless they tell you otherwise. Ie a suit minus the jacket.

This is the part I don’t understand : you’ve chosen a career path where you have to wear a uniform for the next 40(?) years.
Training is not your time it’s company time.
So dress like you appreciate the opportunity.
Tell you what, you can wear whatever you want when you’re at home doing your CBT’s.
