This is about bringing the flying back, growing mainline, and shrinking the regionals as fast as we can. The company put scope on the table, but the union and pilot group have made it very clear that it isn’t for sale at any price. Under our current contract the company has the option to provide more rj’s, they just don’t want to right now. They’re hoping we cave, meanwhile the orders for 100 seat jets stack up.
Possible E195?

Some of the information that I have come across from my UAL sources, that United MEC is not giving in on Scope. United has the tightest scope language. Kirby is even backing off on Scope as of a few weeks ago.

just my two cents.

Some of the information I have come across from a good United source 3 weeks ago is the United MEC is willing to discuss scope relief for flow down rights in case of a furlough, a billion in retirement and pay, and securing the widebody flying....

We'll see....

They only have to get fifty percent plus one. Most management types will tell you if they get more than that management gave away too much.

That’s funny. I have talked to my reps and scope is not on the table whatsoever. The company has brought it up to the union and they said no.

That would also mean flow up rights as well.... Nobody currently can see that on the table...

It can’t go only one direction.

Yea, didn’t work out too good for us Eagle guys. They flowed down for sure. Flow up—-NAH!

Cool tho, the grievance only took 10 years to work out. I’m sure that scared the bejeebers outta mgt.

Thats what I had heard too until I heard from from a source in a place to know. The only people who really know are the company negotiators and the union negotiators so you can't say for sure one way or the other. But this is from a good source at United and that is all I will say. I think UAL management is ready for however it breaks. Either scope relief, a flow down, and more 170s OR no scope relief, no flow rights, and 200 550s. What I also heard was the 550 was a game changer in the negotiations. We'll see....
