Yes, but they are also keeping the 40 175’s they were already flying for UA, those have been extended 5 years. IAH is going to be XJT’s smallest 175 base so there may be some rebalancing. Realistically we have been exchanging 175’s for 145XR’s.

Is getting an E175 in IAH out of training still happening? And to make sure to help make decisions, is getting anything in IAH out of training still happening? TIA.

Last class to have someone awarded the 175 was in January and ORD is the junior 175 domicile. Lots of 175 peeps in ORD trying to base trade south to Houston. Anything is possible but I would consider 175-IAH unlikely for a while. 145-IAH definitely possible.

If you want ORD or IAH you should get it out of training on the 145 side. This is true for the last two classes that got assigned bases, and I think this will stay true for IAH for at least a while

how much kool aid can you possibly drink?

I think he’s eating the koolaid straight out of the packets. Then washing down with water...

Mesa doesn’t have any birds coming off CPA for at least 5 years now. I can see republic being pulled back up north and Skywest pulled west but that’s it.

United doesn’t want a lead regional.

You can get IAH or ORD on the 145 out of training. Things are pretty senior and staffed up on the E175 side now.

E175s are going away and we now become the worlds largest E145 carrier.

Don’t buy what the company is saying. With the 175’s going away, all those senior 175 Captains are going to be going back on the 145’s possibly sending recently upgraded 145 captains back to being FO’s. From what I’ve heard expect 4/5 year upgrades again.
