There will be an outright riot at XJT if they do a percentage based seniority list merger. Where a 3 year C5 CA percentage wise may be equivalent to a 16 year XJT CA. I'm just theorizing, but it won't go over well at XJT if that is the case. It should be based on DOH.
In response to johncarr post to under negotiations and Skywest purchasing them with a LOA, our union has rejected LOAs and made it clear it’s time for a new contract. Now could they change they mind, sure. But from what we been told, it’s a new contract. And again, that’s just my thought process on why I think we would personally merge. Either way, company (c5) knows our contract is behind and we can’t retain pilots at all because of it.
It’s all just rumor at end of day. We heard it at c5... but we go about our business like nothing gonna happen. Let’s face it, both companies are controlled by the mothership and who knows what they want.

side note.....the c5/XJT rumor has been around for years. At one point it also included AirWis and Mesa. (All the CPP carriers)

Smart Perf is no longer available. Most of the software we is still under the Skywest license and the rights to use it is going away. Software that supports bidding on lines built by the union probably isn't available anymore or cost more than a PBS would

I think the rumor is that bad news is coming. Who knows what. My guess is closing more bases like TYS or EWR or both. The could even close the 145 ORD base. Merger could be a possible thing as well. I’m totally throwing stuff out there, but whatever it is we won’t know for a few weeks.
