Honestly, it's none of my concern why they took them away, since I have nothing to do with that dirtbag airline, or any of their regionals anymore. But I'd venture to say, since United likes to concentrate on penny pinching over all else, they were shopping the corner and Mesa was the cheapest trick they could find. Cheap tricks usually come with nasty surprises later. ;)

Translation.....they didn’t hire me, so I hate them now. I get it....but I do get sick of this mindset. I actually know you....personally. We went to the same flight school, regional, etc...and you KNOW you wanted to work for UAL and would have gladly done so. Be thankful you didn’t, since we are all screwed now....but the sour grapes chest thumping gets old and makes you look just as bad as the airline you love to hate.

No sour grapes at all, and I don't hate them. Just calling them what most of the traveling public sees them as. I'd be lying if I said that UAL wasn't a goal of mine years ago, but after seeing how poorly they treated XJT, my mind changed. I'm thankful for where I'm at, and I feel sorry for the good folks over there that are getting shafted by this crisis. Nothing against the pilots, I have a lot of friends there. Honestly, I don't really care what I look like to anyone. Think whatever you want, opinions are like ***holes- everyone has one, and they all stink. :D

If you're buying oil it might be good in the very short term. Long term, disastrous.

The problem is that the current oil price is well below the cost of production for many producers, particularly in the USA. Oil extraction from many US oilfields, particularly shale, is expensive compared to just pumping it out of the ground. This will cause many producers to simply go out of business. The producers that will be left will be those with very low costs of production-like Saudi Arabia for example.

Once demand for oil returns, and it will, there will be far fewer producers and they will keep tight control over production to keep prices high. OPEC did this in the 1970s and they will do it again. We could see $100 oil in a few years, so if you could plan your aircraft network, you would take that into account and keep the most fuel efficient aircraft.

At least American and United sell jet fuel. They both own refineries and pipelines.

Oil producers are seriously paying to get rid of their oil, never has that ever happened. We will be seeing massive furloughs and job losses, employment rate will be in the 40% I have tons and tons of Gold and other HARD assets, so if you have no Gold you have made no right moves! Common guys! lets get with it! study your history, study the history of fiat currencies you cant just print trilions and trillions and trillions of dollars and expect everything will be ok. We are at the end of the fiat currency. Turn off the tv, this bubble has been created for decades and now all the supply chains are collapsing.. there is no way to expand the dollar. You all should have extra food, guns, gold, you are witnessing the end of your dollar. The dollar will be replaced at sooner than later, what that currency will be is the question, but people holding the bag of dollars will end up broke. Fiat currencies always FAIL everytime. You expand the system and then when it can't expand(debt), it collapses! That is what I mean by history. Incase you didnt know, this system has been setup to fail. This virus didnt cause this problem, the problem has been 50 years in the making. The virus was just the prick to pop the bubble. If it wasn't the virus it would have been something else. You just watched Oil collapse, the dollar is tied to oil, there is no demand for oil, there will be no demand for dollars and the FED continues to print trillions of dollars with no demand... You may have heard of Thomas Jefferson? He warned about this.. Get ready for massive deflation(already beginning) followed by massive hyper inflation. Sadly, the standard of living for most americans will plummet. Fiat currencies has been around for centuries and 100% Fail... Gold wins every time. The world will have no choice but to go back to the Gold standard (pre 1971) once this mess is over and it's not gonna be pretty. But hey, i meet people everyday alot are pilots and so many seem awake and aware and have been preparing, i guess its just you and a couple others.
