Trying to figure out how UA is allocating UAX flights..... Mesa has nothing going in the West, so you have to assume that SKW is getting everything from the Rockies west (incl DEN). And probably most of ORD since none of the rest of us seem to have any ORD flying..... I can't figure out an easy way to discern the RPA UAX flights from their other flights......
According to flightaware at ~5:30pm CDT, Sun, June 7, 2020
Mesa has 29 UAX flights in the air (plus 7 AA CRJ9s).
C5 has 20
XJT has 6
GJT - 1
AWC - 1

Flyer1985 06-07-2020 07:37 PM

Expressjet is second in UX flights to Skywest per UX flight data. Mesa is third and republic is fourth.

Where did you find this data?

I was shocked at this number but our flow board backs this number up... and it may be a little on the low side.
That’s just for UAX flights as well.

Are you really shocked that OO has that many flights. OO is the tail that wags the dog.

Not sure if it’s just me, but the company and union has had a dismal tone lately.

Not just you. They don’t have any good news and I suspect they know the reality.

It won’t be much worse then June, except no segments for ECP and BHM.

But there will be only 160CA’s and 900 FO’s. If that’s now writing on the wall I don’t know what is.

Is this supposed to be good news....XJT only had 27 departures total (25 IAH/2ORD)

No definitely not good news.

Da Vinci 06-10-2020 05:38 PM

Zw downgraded over 150 captains and had base closures, not easy to tell who is up next on the chopping block.

DirkDiggler 06-10-2020 08:36 PM

Looks like the union sent out an email today stating the company is wrongfully terminating health insurance for anyone out on LTD. Good times.

thats nothing new. Its a common occurrence. Had it happen to me back in 2018. I also knew of folks that had it happen back in 2011.

Wow..is XJT losing the ORD base? Looks like the flying is concentrated in IAH.

It been said that UA is having regionals focus their flying in hubs where they have their greatest strengths. Obviously for us its been determined to be IAH.
Additionally, the data is from a Tue, historically a lower operational day.

I'd be curious to see this same information for the planned flights in July.

At Republic, as a point of reference, in July we have 44 daily departures at ORD (up from 27 on this graph), 44 at EWR (up from 13), and 16 at IAD (up from 5). Still nothing at IAH or DEN, though.

AMNegron 06-11-2020 12:53 PM

July 6/7 seems to be the target date of restarting service. I’ll take a look before that weekend. I’m not privy to data that far out yet.

This is surprisingly bad,

United is in the crapper in general. What's the earliest date XJT will notify for furloughs? Also will pilots have nonrev Bennies while on furlough?

Contract provides for 30 days notice or 30 days pay. HAHAHA non rev on furlough HAHAHAHA

blastoff 06-11-2020 06:25 PM

We were given 6 months nonrev benefits on Continental in 2008 for signing the "Enhanced Furlough Benefits" offer that included a waiver to not sue the company

Since management had changed at both XJT and mainline I wouldn't expect such a generous offer

Yes. Maybe you can go backpacking through Europe while on Furlough?

Bl******* that’s because Xjet mgmt didn’t give the proper WARN Act notification (60 days). They were short by 2 days

TheOtherGuy25 06-12-2020 08:00 PM

What is actually going on at XJT? One of my Aussie buddies there told me you guys are still hiring guys from Australia and giving them sponsorship papers, and this is literally as of this week! He showed me the messages from their little chat group of guys who are being given the paperwork to prove it. And even he isn't sure how this is happening still. Apparently OO stopped it here.

Just to verify, hiring new pilots or renewing pilots already on property? The Aussies have to get their paperwork renewed every 2 years and it's a dick move to throw them out on the street by not giving them paperwork to renew their visa (IMHO).

It’s the government that renews Visa’s not airlines... Immigration processing centers are not open right now..

TheOtherGuy25 06-13-2020 09:57 AM

Sorry guys, just to clarify (was half asleep last night when I wrote) it’s an initial brand new Visa. Not a renewal of a Visa. They are also overseas, in Australia I assume, so guessing maybe their Visa processing is open. I was shown XJT is providing them the documentation to get these new Visas still, didn’t see how many though.

I mean maybe XJT are anticipating something happening sooner rather than later and expecting to need them. Just found it amazing that any airlines would even be considering new foreign workers in this climate, as much as I love our Aussie pilots.

Oh, and agree about the guys being renewed! Not cool to bring them here and not renew them.

CaseTractor 06-23-2020 06:09 PM

Been spooky quiet on XJT threads. What's new, are the July lines showing any hope?
