Regionals don’t do early retirement. This is not a major. Cuts into management’s golden parachutes.

Ah yes you’re falling for management’s argument. Don’t.

As of late, block hours have heavily favored the 70-seat carriers: Republic, Mesa, and SkyWest. In fact, Republic and Mesa have been flying about double the block hours as ExpressJet, CommutAir, Air Wisconsin, and GoJet. SkyWest is flying almost more block hours than all other UAX subs combined. In August, SkyWest was awarded 38,000 block hours, while we received a meager 5,000; still more than the other 50-seat operators were awarded.

yikes

my guess:
UAX is gonna be Skywest and 1 other operator after this.

This thread is still around. I thought we answered this question months ago. NO, expressjet will not survive. Everybody that’s left standing after the eventual furlough will be top of the pay scale with 4 weeks of vacation and highest % 401k match in both seats. Please stick a fork in us, we are done.

XJT gone by the end of the year. Get your apps out now somewhere even if that’s at a trucking company, if the writing on the wall wasn’t enough earlier Losing the 175’s it’s clear as day now that we are finished. SKW dealt a final death blow.

I agree once they turned over those frames it was not a good sign. Maybe the rumor of the folk in Atlanta scuttling the deal to let United build a 175 MX hangar and to move headquarters to TYS is true. According to the front desk lady at the hotel by the airport she said that Xjt upper mgmt was staying there a bunch pre covid in early 2020 for some reason.
