I had applied twice at XJT before I got hired at Mesaba. I didnt even get an email to interview. I have 1100 TT with 210 ME, 150 Turbine.
Another guy from my school interned there and he cannot get an interview. He is since at Mesaba as well. He has about 1000 TT and 150 ME.
2 guys that I INSTRCUCTED for COM and CFI got hired and they have about 700TT and 100 ME.
Dont really know what is going on over there...

I'd be one to say that the hiring could be random. I thought I did fairly well in my interview, but yet, here I am.
Of course, the alternative is that I am egregiously overestimating myself, and that they were somehow able to pick up on that in the 20 or so questions they asked me over a total span of about 10 minutes. Maybe they know something about me that I don't.

The captain in the HR room did a little bit. Just general questions about my experience, why ExpressJet, etc. He even knew a little bit about my company, so the discussion almost became just a friendly chat. Then Angela asked if I had any failed checkrides, if I had any questions, and that was it. I was seriously in there about 3 minutes.
I guess I must really project the "I don't belong at ExpressJet" vibe.
Of course, I'm still toying with the idea of reapplying in three months. Where else am I going to go?

So just over 2.5 years .. that sounds more reasonable. I'm planning on a 3 to 3.5 year time frame for upgrade in IAH (I won't commute - I've had enough of that 7th circle of hell - I'll leave this industry forever before I'll do that again!).
