No regional is undercutting "mainline pilots"....
Its the mainline management that is undercutting its own "mainline pilots" to a regional.....The fight is not with regional pilots, its with your own management.

I had heard rumors that ASA was getting that flying with our 20 dropped -200s. Waiting to see it in print.

Funny when people at GJ use the word "ironic" to describe a reduction in flying at TSA. Do you even know what that word means? Let me help you out....an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected. TSA furloughing more, Mesa loosing airplanes, is expected. However, it's not suprising that someone that is on an intellectual level that choses to work for a place like GoJet also uses words that he/she doesn't understand. Big words too.

As for UAX flying, if XJ is awarded flying, I'm glad there is good news for someone in this industry (except for the airline mentioned in the previous paragraph). Flying for UA is definitley not a great time...but if it gets furloughed guys off the street, from any airline, it's good news for everyone, in my opinion.

Frankly, I think both of our companies have GREAT contracts that other companies should try to target to exceed.
Yup, pretty damn close, both really good companies. I think AWAC and XJT should be the bare minimum for regionals. We should start there and work up something even better. It shouldn't be the other way around.

A guy can dream...

Either way, congrats to you guys at XJT. Maybe a light at the end of the tunnel here...

Glad I'm not the only one who gets set off by the misuse of "ironic."

After reading the memo, I was very surprised that I couldn't find any official announcement anywhere. I wonder if somebody wrote something they weren't supposed to?

As with any thread of this nature, I was immediately reminded of this:

.
huh? it's ironic because the airlines that generally do this flying are not getting it. With one of them even losing 26 50 seaters, and for the other 50 seat UA flying is all they do. Kind of says a lot. By the way, nice touch with go jetsss of which has absolutely nothing to do with this. If you guys focused on 2009, you'd get a whole lot of things done a lot quicker. By the way learn how to spell lose.

There you go with your wishful thinking again. Let me lead you down the right path since you are very misinformed: Mesa will find out if there losing those aircraft on October 1st. Quit spreading false rumors. If it happens, it happens. Until then, quit spreading your propaganda.

I heard that Expressjet is losing money on the current contract for the summer flying. Is there any truth to that?

You are obviously very confused, even after I stated the facts. I suggest you better educate yourself on the nature of the contract for those 26 airplanes before you start saying that Mesa WILL lose those airplanes. UAL has not come out and said anything about that. So quit with the wishful thinking and wait for the facts.
