Why would I wish for that to happen? Quit assuming. You are so blinded by the hatred.

It will be great for XJT until UA goes Tango Uniform in chapter 7, due to their CEO´s gross mis-management.

For some reason, I'm getting the feeling this wasn't suppose to be public knowledge.

No I don't. I'll just start using the other one to keep everyone happy

P.S: I hate when my finger keeps sticking to the O key.

Your not that bright are you? Let see, both AWAC and XJT, when the upgrading was good, and people were leaving had the exact same industry average upgrade time, 2.5 years. Let see, AWAC is one of the only companies to call back most of our furloughed guys. Frankly, guys who didn't upgrade did it only because they have great QOL and they didn't want/need/see the point of upgrading. And your point is? And what company do you work at that is upgrading right now? Your really sad, you should aim to be at our contract. That way it'll make ours easier to leap frog, that's the idea of pattern bargaining.

XJT, no real trip/duty rigs per say. We have a min value for a 4 day, but it rarely comes into play. There is a 2hr min pay credit for a duty period. Comes into play if you have a multi day pairing and the first/last leg is the only leg and is say 90 minutes, you get 2 hrs of pay. If we have a calender day layover, it's 3 hours of pay credit. Pay leg by leg as opposed to a daily guaranty. Does AWAC do leg by leg, by the duty period, or by the trip for pay protection purposes?

What's the min pay per day for AWAC as well as the trip/duty rig?

XJT has long call reserve, but I think I heard AWAC's is better. Can't show before noon on the first day, if not called by noon on the last day you're done. It's a 12 hour call out from notification to showtime, it naturally comes with plenty of caveats. One being that LC's are FIRST in call order. XJT reserve is set up so that reserve pilots bid on a line with the same on call period all month, is AWAC's on call period day to day? Also, XJT has LC reserve lines, as well as "floating reserve lines". You get more days off than a regular reserve on an FRL, but don't get to bid for days on/off or call out time. Crew planning builds your reserve line, you can "request" to have certain days off.
Your contract has great points, and your right you guys do have kinda of a trip duty rig. Ours is 4:1 and 2:1 trip/duty rig. Our min day is 3.8 hours and we have leg by leg, segment or better pay protection for everything, MX, CX or reroutes whichever is higher. One thing that I want to see fixed is our deadheading pay, its currently only 100% segment time, and not segment or better, which can suck when your in the back for 3 hours and it was an hour deadhead. But it's still better then most companies out there.

It sounds as if our reserve systems are a dead tie. The weakness in our contract is the current normal reserve. We have 12 days off, but you do not bid for your assigned times. Which totally sucks, as guys have no idea what they are getting for the month as far as checkin times, crew scheduling assigns it every night. It's a normal 2 hour call out, and that's only to the airport, not including our normal 45 mins to check in. During integration, which is to say when the lines come out, and they are trying to hammer out the schedules due to our line bidding system, you can try to move reserve days to create more days off in a row. However, this is a hit or miss system that can be really tough to work in your favor. The reserve system sucks because the thought process that we gave up some contract capital to gain better work rules. Also at the time guys never sat reserve, heck in Oct 07 when I got hired I went right to a line, so I never knew what hell reserve could be. The only saving grace is our long call reserve, which is 48 hours, in which they have to assign you a trip. If they you commute in and they assign the trip to someone else, then you are pay protected. Your always the last to get called out and generally guys love it. So it seems your reserve system is better, but our long call days are great. Guys with built up lines LOVE long call days as it gives them plenty of time to get to the airport. Heck we had one guy who did nothing but long call days from Bueno Aires, and he never had to use the commuter clause!

But it sounds as if both of contracts are basically built proof compared to alot of others. Do you guys have a commuter clause? What about hotels for sits? Also I want our per diem go up, it's current $1.57 (I maybe off on that, I don't have the time to look it up in the contract) but I'd like to see that go up, so say a cool $2.00 dollars, but we'll see. But anyways, I'm so happy for you guys if this UAL contract works out, I hope companies will start to recognize what a quality product costs.

Fair enough but it's just humorous to talk about how wonderful your contract is when you have 300+ pilots furloughed with no recall or substantial growth in sight. Also what about Eagle and Comair? They had pretty good regional contracts last I checked.
