This is true, but we will of course always try to push for it. The bottom line is we do have some protections in place to protect jobs affected by the transfer of airplanes. We are happy with our current contract (still industry leading) and don't care if it takes 10 years to negotiate a new one.
Air Wisconsin is industry leading. I have read both and I think the Pinnacle JCBA is second, ASA third and ExpressJet fourth.
Is that you Saaborowski?

The only one I can agree with is Air Wisconsin, and some Air Wisconsin guys will tell you it's a toss up between theirs and XJT. I can't see how you think ASA's or Pinnacle's is better....they're just not....and I've made myself very familiar with ASA's. The only thing ASA has is trip and duty rigs. But scheduling, reserve rules, sick bank accrual, retirement, and vacation are all worse than XJT...and don't get me started on PBS.

Take a look at Jazz then maybe you can start talking about having a decent regional contract. When you say that you have a leading contract in regionals your doing just what mangmnt wants you to do... Think your making good money. You make 39$ ph as a 4th year FO at xjt so does 9E... Both contracts are totally pathetic.
Jazz 4th year FO:56$ top 70$
Minimum days off: Blockholder: 14; Reserve: 12
Overtime: 150% pay over 85 hours/mo
Monthly and reserve guarantee: 77.5-82.5 hours
80$ a day PD
Thats regional industry leading... and thats just the highlights.

From what I hear Skywest will never unionize and have zero interest in one list.

Lol this shows you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Can't even have a legit argument with you about it if you are that misinformed. One thing is for sure, I know several guys over at CAL and our contract is in a different league compared to yours. That's probably why you still find the need to lurk in the regional forums. Lol pathetic.

I'm not going to argue that all regional pay doesn't suck. It does....but to say the differences are insignificant isn't really true. While hourly rates may be similar, work rules will make or break your pay. As a 5th year FO, my total gross will be $52k, not including company contributions to the 401k, which is up to 12% of that. Max at Pinacolaba is 5.25% matching.
Health insurance contributions are another thing to consider as well. It will definitely affect your bottom line every month, and varies widely from company to company.

The new Pinnacle contract is no where near any of the other mentioned airlines current contracts. Pay rates are nothing compared to the work rules which are the backbone of any agreement. Retirement, health care, and vacation can be the equivalent of a 15-20% difference in pay and a windfall in QOL. Good on the Pinnacle guys for finally getting a new contract but to say it is the same as the contracts other airlines negotiated when their companies were making a guaranteed 10% profit is completely foolish. You have to look at where the airlines were when those contracts were negotiated.
The pay rates are the same but 50% deadhead, 1% retirement matching, crazy expensive health care, poor or no LTD coverage,...
Every contract has its talking points and weaknesses but your opinion is way off of reality.
