They waived it for me, and this was back when they were telling current/qualified Colgan folks TBNT. Your best bet is to put your application in and then try to get in touch with someone in recruiting (I conversed with a guy with the initials DC, but I have no idea if he's still around) to let them know what your situation is.

Considering they can't fill classes, I'd say you at least have a shot at getting an interview if your resume is descent (JMHO).

Awesome thank you! I am putting my feelers out to this site to see what the regionals are doing in terms of hiring. Thank you again!

Any updates to this? I haven't applied at Expressjet just yet, but if I did I would want IAD out of training. Has this been the trend for new hires?

It is a pretty junior base. If you dont get it out of training, you will be able to base trade for it.

It's fairly junior BUT it's only 60 FO's... It's not that easy to get Dulles right out of training. It's almost impossible to base trade for Dulles ( check how many people tried to get Dulles vs leave Dulles according to the last base trade).

My guess, you will be able to hold IAD within 6-12 months from the time you get hired.

They just had to TDY people up to dulles last month, new hires are going there now and always since it's the junior base you will definitely get it out of training and if not very soon after

For the CRJ side of the house only:

IAD comes and goes in waves for new hires it seems. Catch it at the right time you could be close to holding long call within 2-3 months of completing IOE, catch it at the wrong time you could be waiting 6 months to get up there. Seems like they are holding just under 70 active FOs.

FWIW: Almost no one believes the CRJ base is going to be around in 2015.

On another note, anyone heard anything more about possible LGA/MSP bases?

An ERJ guy was awarded IAD straight out of training in our 10/7 class.

Default Update on IAD please?

Reviving this a bit, but want to know the breakdown now at IAD of ERJ and CRJ FOs. How many each a/c? How likely you think direct from NHT? Reserve length on both a/c at IAD? Just hired at interview and want to know my chances before they offer an aircraft class. Thanks.

IAD tends to be very junior in the lower 1/3 of the CRJ list. I think we had something in the vicinity of 12 new hire F/Os bid out in the most recent bid, so they'll need that many plus a few more to backfill by May.

Did you mean KMHT? No direct service to IAD anymore, you'll either need to go to DCA and take the metro over (about $6) or two hop it. Logan would be a better option (usually no issues on JB, United can be a huge PITA) but I know parking is way more expensive.

If I were you, EWR ERJ would be my preference, maybe even CLE. Good luck!
