I am in IAD on the ERJ side. They are trickling in new hires here every month or so, but it will take some time to get a line. There are 34 lines for 61 FOs for Feb which puts the most junior lineholder as a 2011 hire. Its becoming more senior every month due to the commutability of the lines.

34 Hard line, I assume we are going to have about 10-15 additional relief lines in IAD.

Last few classes the top 2-4 in seniority get ATL if desired. Everyone else expect IAD or DTW.

And I assume that's based on age? How will someone that's 30 years old rank amongst the other guys in the class?

Also how long of a wait until you can transfer to ATL? Is it possible to hold a Long Call Reserve out of IAD or DTW and not need a crashpad?

Age yes and it'll be a while before you'll see long call reserve.

Long call at this company is useless as a commuter, because they can convert you to short call 7 times a month. And by "can" I mean they will. Just because they can. You'll need a crashpad.

Yep. They need to change LCR to call last on list also. Who am I to say though? We can't have it all and I don't make 1.2 million a year.

Not sure why these things cannot be addressed in a contract.

By definition LCR is called first. Why would you call a guy that has to have the most lead time last?
