I don't know about you, but when the sh!t hits the fan I'd rather have a 3000hour captain vs. a 1500-2000hr one, ceteris paribus.

PS. point taken on my ridiculous spelling error, but 'reasonible' ain't reasonable either
haha you got me

i'm saying 1000 more hours with the autopilot on, is not going to make you safer. However, it might make you better at crossword puzzles!!!Like I said people react differently and hours are not everything. I've flown with ppl that have over 5-6000 hrs. and can't even do a crosswind takeoff correctly.

I disagree. I was hired with 1000+tt and 200+ multi. After 2 years and somewhere between 1500-2000 hours in the jet i am much more capable in this aircraft then i was before. I agree it depends on the pilot and how much effort they put in on self improvement but I dont know about you but i dont just sit there and ride along with the autopilot on. Yes it will be on in cruise but if all you do is percieve it as riding around with the autopilot on then yes that flight time is pointless. Just a little bit of a rant.

I have about 3000tt and almost 2000 turbine multi but thanks for asking!
Hey I hope it works out, but I have a feeling that the Prelim Bid is going to look a lot different than the actual, I have a lot, and I mean a llot of buds that didnt bother bidding CA ONT, and they are all changing their bids, but I hope you can still hold it.

PS. I got hired at Express with 1600 ttl and 700 multi of which 575 was Turbine 121

Also look around Comair is hiring with well below 100 multi as is Colgan

Well, we shall see, i think some people are going to change their bids the other way also. I was tempted to change it and wait till the next bid comes out with the next couple bases. I know some people are on the fence both ways about how to bid. This bid for ONT is a blind bid, we have no idea how the lines will look or the commutability of the lines. I think ONT is going to stay junior at for a while.

we will see on the the 15th.

Been there done that!! It took me 10 months to get a line in IAH back when i was hired. Its crazy how things change. I have a buddy who held a relief line in IAH in 4-5 months and he was hired a year after me. Just goes to show the attrition here i guess. Go ONT FO you probably wouldnt be on reserve at all.

I'm sure you got your manuals out and are studying the systems on every flight!

If you ever fly with me you better keep your thumb over on your own side. Do you follow the 30 second rule after you are finished thumb wrestling?
