One thing to keep in mind if UAL buys Xjt... Kirby is really calling the shots and where did he come from only about 1 year ago??? AA He has been at AA while 3 regionals are owned by AA and flowing.. I wouldnt be shocked to see the CPP go away and upgraded to a direct flow. He understands that a flow will get people going to XJT. He knows very well that Envoy, PSA aren't having trouble filling classes right now. Its a win win for AA... a steady pipeline of pilots coming up to AA and also AA regional feed staffed! Which in the Bloomberg article last week talked directly about "attracting pilots and boosting its pipeline of pilots" I won't be shocked at all if Kirby does the same thing at UAL and secures a nice pipeline of pilots via direct flow with XJT...

You didn't keep track of that soap opera did you? It wasn't the love fest you think.

Let this play out. I think you may be surpised IMO.

The way it ended wasn't chummy and rosey for the uninformed. I think BR would love to see XJT pilots flying former Skywest metal if this thing plays out. Frankly, I know every pilot on the property would too.

You can look to the FA union for that problem. Instead of creating an ISL now, which would have avoided "Furloughs", they chose to keep them separate. More people would have volunteered to go to the CRJ than were necessary for the operation. The FA union refuses to merge lists until there is a JCBA because the CRJ dues are contractual and they would stand to make and additional $154,800 per year by finally ending the CRJ contract. The union is using "Furloughs" as a way to pressure the FA's to vote in a contract, no matter how terrible it is.

The last piece of advice I'll offer (besides GTFO, ASAP), is ignore the BS coming from management. They did the same thing to us, floating all these rumors of great things coming, but only if we stay. Delta and SkyWest are ruthless and don't care one bit about you. They will say whatever they have to say to keep you working until their predetermined shut down date. Then when the cat is out of the bag and the date has been announced, they will turn to bribes. The rumor that United will buy you guys and staple you is one of the best I've ever heard. In the unlikely chance UAL takes a 49% stake, the most you'll get is a guaranteed Hogan. Direct flow is dead because then they lose control of their hiring. UAL still has thousands of qualified applicants on file, and they can afford to be choosy. AA is an anomaly and not everyone over there thinks its grand.

You know we already get a guaranteed Hogan, right?

UA can afford to be choosy, but if they want their cheap farmed out airplanes to be staffed, they’re gonna have to attach something to the end of that stick.

Guaranteed interviews and CPP are carrots, a flow is a juicy steak in this labor market.

^^^^ This.
It’s not 2012. AAL WOs get a flow. DAL WOs get an interview. UAL will soon find the 145s they own being parked with no one to fly them.
