Coupled with the 200% increase in attrition since last month, its why TV had to mention it in his update today. He's trying to plug some holes by saying something but it's all empty right now.

I sent him a message saying actions speak louder than words. Simple as that really.

My understanding is we had classes... no one was in them. Except for one return to work.

One reason to choose XJT?

Totally hilarious the UAL-Express exec running around L-XJT bases (2 visits to IAH now) trying to figure out why the CPP isn't keeping the RJ-slaves on the plantation...

The hilarious part is, I think they really thought it was a GREAT idea. How could it possibly not work? You get a 50% chance at a chance to get a job at UA in... when exactly? Years and years and years from now... maybe.

Failure pile in a sadness bowl.

Training is still a good and pleasant experience. There. 1 reason.

If they want to secure XJT staffing...

Announce a lottery for your seniority number at UA. Drawing will be held December 31, 2018. All pilots from new-hire to old age are eligible. Will go to United in order drawn. On second thought, I doubt even that would work.

Leadership is alarmed at the amount of pilots side-stepping to other regionals. Don't know why they are alarmed...this is their mess and it is FUBAR. Wouldn't be surprised if they announced some kind of retention package to slow the retention through the summer.

Maybe they'll announce a PBS system for appointments at the unemployment office...

In speaking with the folks I know at XJT, if that is management's plan they better come very high with whatever package they generate.

At the end of the day, it is being told to me, XJT is a dead-end and anyone remaining on the ship will end up drowning as it continues to take on water.

There is more than just a financial reason why pilots are escaping quickly.

Even a retention package won't keep us from leaving. This place is done. Management is a den of liars and thieves, our mainline "partner" cares more about cost than having a decent product, and we're owned by a company that has been very hostile to us from day one. Nearly every FO I've flown with in the past 6 months has had some sort of exit strategy, many opting to jump to other regionals. I say good for them. The Atlanta brain trust has sailed the Titanic right into the iceberg, at the command of our Mormon overlords from SkyWest. Congrats, managrment- you made the bed, but that doesn't mean any of us have to sleep in it with you. Here's to hoping this is the month I get to tender my own 2 week notice, CPP be damned.
