I've heard the A330 Rumor too. Seems to be about the only thing available that could replace an MD-11.
I've never heard the company say anything about going all Boeing. I have heard they want to be an airline that just has twin engine airplanes. I've heard the A300s will be around for another Decade and I think the MD-11s will be too.

Agree with all the above. As I said, Boeing fleet was just an inference. If they could, having only 75/76/77 would make for easy transitions and maintenance commonality.

While all that is true, when it comes to "Absolutely, Positively, Has to be there, Overnight," the constraint that results in leaving freight on the ramp is rarely weight, CG, zone loading, or even the cost of operating the jet.
It's volume.
Volume limitations drive the need for a B-757 to follow a B-767 when it tries to replace an MD-10. 2 pilots and 3 engines are replaced by 4 pilots and 4 engines. Good bean counting there.

There's still an A380 pay rate in the contract but the union officers that bartered A380 rates (that they would get paid!) have all retired now.
That was just one of the times that Management snookered us ...
For the new guys that weren't around then ... we were years into contract negotiations, the Company wanted the 757 (the not yet announced 727 replacement) to be paid at narrow body pay rates. Our union Negotiating Committee Chairman and our Union President were persuaded to agree in exchange for REALLY BIG A380 pay rates (that they were both senior enough to hold). We eventually signed a contract.
A short time later we announced that were had acquired dozens of 757's (my Boing Mod-Team buds knew nothing about it!). Some time later the A380 orders were canceled. Shame on us!*?

part of the problem with A330 is that when it is on the ramp it slopes forward. I guess it is enough that they considered having a mini ramp that the nose gear would rest on to level the plane.
When you're on a company computer or your iPad, do an intranet google search for the 767 A330 comparisons they did before buying the 767. Some interesting stuff available if you search enough.

yes this WAS true, but Airbus now modified the nose gear of the A330F and added some length to it. You can recognize a A330F because it has a bubble on the bottom of the fuse to hold the longer nose strut. The jet now sits level on the ground.

A380 rate is gone from CBA but a place holder is there in case it comes back. When asked at the roadshow why the A380 was removed but the 737 remained in the pay chart...the reps responded with "well we aren't getting the A380". They were then asked "does that mean we are getting the 737"? and the answer was "no, we just left the rates there because they were always there". The next question was "then why did you remove the A380 and not the 737 because the 737 was also always there too"? The answer was "we are not getting the A380".
