I’ve been using this one for over a year. I like it more than the more expensive luggageworks bag I used for years. It’s lighter and has plenty of room. Plus, the handle has the traditional release mechanism instead of the stupid pins on the traditional LWs bags. Fits in every overhead baggage space except for RJs. For $150 it’s a good deal.

I have 2 luggage works steal bags and they are heavy.
If this one wears out I will go the Costco route.
Thank you all for your input and look forward to starting shortly.

I've had an Eagle Creek Tarmac 22 for the past few years and think it's great. Very light, expandable, and comes with a 'No matter what' warranty that I believe is for as long as you own it. I had an issue with one of the wheels and called Eagle Creek and they sent me new replacement wheels. I was surprised to get a call a few weeks later from them asking if the new wheels solved my problem. Great customer service. Also, take a look at the eBags TLS 22 expandable. I'm seeing more and more of those in the AOC. I almost purchased one, but went with the Eagle Creek instead and have zero complaints and it's holding up really well.
I've had two Luggage Works bags. And although they are made to be tough, both Delta and American airlines found a way to collapse the bag(s) snapping the metal spine in half (not a joke). I also don't like that the bags scream "airline crew" to everyone in the terminal. Another bad thing about LW bags are that they're very heavy. I've hurt my shoulder lifting my bag when it was packed for a 12 day trip. And if you've ever had a finger in the way when the tote bar came falling down, you'll know how painful that can be.
My two cents.

I’m using the Stealth air- 4# lighter than the classic Stealth by using an aluminum frame instead of steel. My bag is 3 years old and captains ask me if it’s brand new.
When this one wears out I’m going eagle creek though, so I can carry it on in Europe since I’m CGN based.

For a while they only had a 4-wheel "spinner" model in that size. Not as much room inside, and they received a lot of complaints. Ergo, the new 2-wheel version with bigger wheels.

Does stuff in the back pockets get crushed when the bag is gate checked? What is a shirt shelf? And, do you use the internal divider? I like the idea, but I also feel it might be a gimmicky waste of internal space.
Thanks.

I learned this technique from a pro.
If you are on hub turns all week, use a very small bag. However, keep a larger bag full of clean clothes at the AOC.
Everyday swap out your dirty laundry for new. That way you only have to yank around a small bag.
Easy.
We *used* to have lockers like every other FedEx employee.

We used to be able to choose luggage as our anniversary gift with FedEx. I chose luggage for my 10 year. It lasted until my 15 year. I then selected another suitcase for my 15 year. It wasn't as good of quality as my 10 year luggage. However, it was made by Samsonite and after 2 years it started falling apart and I took it to a Samsonite outlet mall store. They didn't have the exact style so they replaced it for free with a better one. I've had this one now for 6 years.
