So... let me get this straight: you think it’s a good idea to come on to a professional airline pilot forum seeking career help while announcing how little regard for unionism you have?

Just asking.

Went to the first job expo, met the VP flight ops at the AOTC and chatted with him for a few minutes, had my resume walked into more than one Fleet Captain's office.

Yeah, I know this might sound arrogant, but jeez, I feel like I have a pretty similar resume to multiple friends that have gotten interviews lately...By the numbers, I should have gotten the magic email long ago. What gives? Am I too old? Too experienced? I thought the Purple Bullet was as close to a guaranteed invite as they come?

Thanks, guys.
Regency of experience? Are you actively flying and updating your application?

I flew with someone a little while ago who had a technical issue with their stuff. I believe the situation was that his email address used to start his app didn't match some other email that was input elsewhere in the process. I'm probably not describing it exactly right, but the point is he had all green checks and everything looked good according to anything he could see but there still was an issue.
After a long while and no results, he contacted the support/IT folks to check. They informed him of the problem, it was corrected and he got an interview within weeks.

I have; Cage Consulting reviewed my application. No major errors, just tiny consistency tweaks. Yes, he did.

Yup, I fly my line and update my app after every trip! (Overkill, I know, but hey, I've got time!)

I didn't say how little or how much regard I have for unionism; just that I'm not an extremist. People can be moderates even in this day and age, ya know?

Interesting... You mean the support/IT folks at PilotCredentials? I'll have to check.

Thanks for the words of support, everyone. It's good to hear that I'm not the only one in this position.

The people who pull applications for interviews have their reasons (or maybe none at all) for pulling who they pull. There is no magic formula. Having experience that is greater or less than anyone else's means absolutely nothing.

How do I know this?

I've been applying to Alaska Airlines for years. I know lots of people there. I've been to their recruiting events. I've got numbers much bigger than most of the regional pilots applying, and I check some other boxes they like. I can't get an interview.

On the other hand, I applied to FedEx just because. I never did any of that application review stuff. I've never been to a recruiting event. I updated my application relatively infrequently. My numbers are less than what you have, and I have no internal recommendations. But I got called to interview almost a year ago. Despite a month of preparation with ECIC, I did not get the job.

My advice is this: Update your application as often as you like, but don't try to make sense of the process. You'll be no closer than you were before and your head will hurt. Expect nothing and be thrilled when you get something.

I am in the same boat. 12,000 hours with B747 and MD11, cargo for the past 12 years, Expo last May, got my application checked by RST and nothing.
