Last I heard was NYC/LAX 76/75 CA award went to a 2020
hire, so yeah, I think they do.

Yeh technically a widebody but their 757/767 pays closer to a 737 than the 350/330. Currently a quarter century to hold capt on those.

That is true, but it is still a widebody and it still went to a 2020 hire.

Also, there are NB CAs at DL that are 2020 hires….my post wasn’t about pay rates, my post was about smaller bids like delta and how our jr upgrades would go away. DL does smaller bids and still has them, so we can do the same.

The backlog of training on certain fleets is ridiculous, but other fleets are pushing folks through quickly. The jr movement would still be a thing.

Sure…. That pilot will fly the 757 probably 99% of the time. At DL the 75/76 bid category isn’t exactly widebody, and unfortunately pays accordingly.

Cool man, so you were wrong and this is your rebuttal which has nothing to do with training bids. Thanks for the informative post about how jr upgrades work in the airline industry.

DAL 757/767 pays same as DAL A321NEO.... so while it is a widebody, it pays narrowbody pay. That's why it's such a short upgrade. It's far more comparable to FedEx narrowbody pay.

You guys are missing his point. The discussion was about the length of bids here compared to other places and how that would affect captain seats going junior. Someone made the argument that if we had smaller more frequent bids, we wouldn’t have junior captains anymore. The whole pay rate thing is secondary to this discussion.

Same long bids at UPS and DL
