Night pay
The night shift
34 of the most dangerous things science has strongly linked to cancer
The International Agency for Research on Cancer in 2007 classified nighttime work as a probable carcinogen. Scientists think working at night and working long hours into the darkness can each mess with the body's natural circadian sleep and wake cycles.

So like automobile antifreeze, aircraft deicing fluids are aqueous solutions of a glycol, or mixture of glycols, along with proprietary additives. Depending on the formulation required, the additives might include a surfactant, polymer thickening agent, pH buffer, corrosion inhibitor, flame retardant, or dye. This jet fuel, hydraulic fluid and who know whats in the cans can be carcinogens.

Oh my god, The air is polluted, city center the new town area is ok but the rest of the city is quite ugly. They clean the streets and some places they even wash but is looks gray and not clean. Taxies smell some toxic thing better to use uber, but no english speaking people and they call you on your order and when find out you are a foreigner they simply cancel most of the time. Good restaurants are expensive. Moderate ones not clean enough. There are parks but not very attractive due to hot weather and air pollution. water is even a bigger issue then air pollution. People look calm and friendly but not open due to language barrier. The city is boring for city activity, the local zoo is old and ugly, they have a nice safari park which is fine. Circus is fun for one or two visits.
Starting and operating business too expensive and complicated for foreigners, corruption is a big obstacle and business attitude is very weak.
For traders and whole sale buyers it has been a popular place for last 20 years, if it is a must you can survive for a while but for living it is a terrible place.
AH SOO You do get paid differently there. But the company denuded the benefit of x-pat/ tax $

So, I'm not just trolling. But how about our negotiators/FDXx considering this and ALL the risks and paying us next contract.

“Mr. Madison, what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

Night pay
And how long have you’ve bee with FedEx? Were you not an educated consumer before grabbing that fed Ex brass ring?

You can be an educated consumer and still want to improve the contract by suggesting we get night pay (or any other thing you would like to see or improved). Or maybe he didn’t know ahead of time. Not everyone can know everything about a contract before working under it and finding out how it’s interpreted and implemented in real life. I’m making a broader point, not necessarily about night pay or any other thousands of other clauses that exist or don’t exist in our contract.
To your second point, not everyone can be point on negotiating a better contract. There are a finite number of NC and MEC members. That’s not to say that you can’t post on APC and try to take point. Not that there is anything wrong with just posting ideas on APC and not planning on taking point.
We should embrace airing of ideas in whatever format pilots chose to do so. I feel that post like yours don’t help but actually deter pilots exchanging ideas just because they don’t plan on taking point on their pet peeve issue. I for one would not complain if we did get a night override.
