Hmmmm. I hear a lot of guys who live in Memphis propose this. Why? Because they don’t have to change a thing. It’s no sacrifice on their part. I don’t know if you live in Memphis but if you do, you’re just saying “you need to sacrifice to get my contract.”

Them, and the same usual suspects who pick up XTRA pairings to CDG, with a whole schedule full of draft.

Most of you are too busy attempting to rationalize THEIR position aka Kronan.
It's pathetic and sad.

If you aint ready to deal with a long protracted negotiation you are helping us lose. If you are willing to give this for that you're helping us lose.
These three points you made, the mindset that we have to give something up to get something, pilots arguing management’s position, and not having patience to negotiate something good rather than something fast, are my personal most frustrating part of speaking with certain pilots on the subject of negotiations.

Memphis guys are missing out on lots of easy drft/vol flying that commuters rarely do.

😜Maybe all the Memphis guys can make sure to fly the scheduled deadheads on the draft trips they picked up we will get a contract quicker!

seriously not trying to start a circular firing squad of Memphis dudes vs commuters. Maybe everybody just pitches in a little bit instead of one group taking the strain for everybody. Contract 2025 🍺

Bit they would have to change. They would have to go to the hotel at the end of a trip and take the scheduled DH home. Most every leg from overseas direct to Memphis I’ve flown has has at least one Memphis guy who just stayed on the jet and have ridden home to save a few days on the back end. Once “they” stop doing that maybe I’ll consider coming to Memphis for the scheduled DH and not shave a few days off the front end.

I want across the board improvements. No stone left unturned. No concessions with industry leading language in every section or I’ll vote no every time. We have worked for it and have earned it. We don’t need to give up anything to get something. I’m ready to hold the line.

People,

There are no "Memphis guys" or "commuters" we are all the same. Those deliniations are meaningless to the folks on the other side of the table. To them we are all a COST.

So do YOUR part and don't make that contingent upon someone else doing their's. Doing anything else is just weakness. Remind these clowns out here rowing against the tide that their efforts are unappreciated and will be remembered and then leave their sorry a@%$ to their consciences.

You can rest well knowing you did YOUR part. I'm doing mine.

What? If he/she lives in Memphis why wouldn't they ride straight back to Memphis to avoid the pax carrier BS? In negotiations or not it's a QOL move.

Agreed. Same as a commuter deviating on the front end.

Also, Shaman’s points above 👍👍
