Yeah, there's definitely some shuffling that happens between the practice bids and the final awards but it's negligible.

yeah, they can not be forced to an FDA but OAK and ANC are not FDA’s, so if the openings are not filled through bidding then what options does the company have at their disposal? Could they force junior pilots into a base change that lasts until 22-01 or could they have temporary duty assignments filling the base until hiring has filled the positions or just create MEM lines that cover the OAK flying? What are the possibilities allowed per the contract?

Being based at other than MEM is considered being forced? It actually may be a Godsend to some.

ALPA just put out a scathing review of the practice bid packs for ANC/OAK. Looks like the OAK pairings are the greatest deviation from reality/contract. I’ve heard that from a few others who have lived through new domicile creation...practice bidpacks don’t reflect the reality in execution.
Still, for west coast commuters, it would be hard to not jump on the 4x west coast domiciles (counting ANC twice there).
