At every other base you can be on a paring that ends in base, followed by a pairing that begins in base, but they are separate pairings. It is not a hub turn on the same pairing, in contrast to the pairings we have with hubturns through AFW, EWR, GSO, IND (for non-IND crews), and MEM (for non-MEM crews), and OAK.

Yeah that and that there are appears to be no trips in the sample that can be put together like they are in MEM, hub turns not on the same pairing. And therefore the OAK sleep room issue not being any different than it is now.

That's because we are looking at pairings and not lines. Company makes the pairings, sig strings them together as lines.
A line contains pairings that turn through a hub. "Whose on first?"

The current MEM bid pack has two separate trips that ddh to LAX and do week long LAX -OAK -LAX. In the OAK bid pack those would be a single dh to LAX return to OAK and then separate day trips of OAK- LAX- OAK and then a OAK -LAX DH
The only thing in the sample bid packs trip 13. So I guess they would keep the LAX OAK trips in the MEM bid pack because of no sleep rooms.
Or is this a case where the sample bid pack is nowhere near the final true bid pack

Looks like I did miss a sample trip. Trip 13 can be strung together to turn through a hub. But other than that, I don’t see anymore.

What’s on second?

He's a management troll. No doubt about it.
I think he could be Robert Lavander the guy who knew everything and stuffed all the lockers with his manifesto for contract negotiations. He used to be on here also and sounds a lot like him! And yes I am showing my age!

There is no contractual requirement to have sleep rooms during a hub turn. The only requirement for rooms is during a trip, either for a legal rest or during an intermediate stop greater than 4 hours.

Although there is no contractual requirement I think the company, ALPA and pilots would agree that sleep rooms(especially with the wake up call program), compared to lounge chairs, has cut down on fatigue issues on hub turns. Yes I know some people don't take naps on the turns.

Does anyone know what the ra/rb call out times will be for Oak? 3+00 like LAX and ANC?
