If it offends you that much to receive the magazine in the mail, I can tell you how to stop it.
Log in to your ALPA website using your ALPA member number and change your communication preferences.
I'll step you through it. Navigate to fdx.alpa.org, and click on "Login". Enter your member number or alpa.org email address and password.
(If you have forgotten your Member Number or Password, click on the appropriate links there to recover them.)
Once logged in, click on "Quick Links" in the upper left-hand corner of the page to drop down a list of ... quick links ... and click on "My ALPA."
Click on the Blue box labeled "Member Info".
Along the bottom of the page, click on "Mail/Email Prefs"
The top of the page won't change, but if you scroll down you'll see that there is a long list of choices to make.
First, this is the place to update your e-mail address if you need to. If you haven't been receiving weekly e-mails from the MEC, this is where to fix it.
Let me pause from the directions for cancelling the printed magazine to point out that if you have not been receiving the ALPA Magazine in your e-mail every month, it may be because your e-mail address on file is incorrect, or maybe you don't have the 4th item (ALPAMagazine - Electronic Distribution of the online version of the Air Line Pilot Magazine) checked. Make sure it's checked if you want to receive the e-mail version.
Beneath the list of e-mail choices is a box labeled "Communication Preference."
The first is "Decline ALPA Magazine", and the default answer is "No". If you want to change it (or any of the other four choices), you need to click on the "+ Update" button on the bottom, and then you'll see that you can change any of the answers. Once you've changed "No" to "Yes", click on the blue "Submit" button.
Perhaps your mailman will thank you. I wouldn't hold my breath.
This shortcut may help get you to the pertinent page, but you'll still need to log in. https://mbronly.alpa.org/Home/Index
Oh, and if you'll look at the bottom of the monthly ALPA Magazine e-mail, you'll find links to Access Air Line Pilot Online, to download Air Line Pilot PDF, and to manage your email preferences/unsubscribe. The last link will take you directly to the same place where I just led you.
So, 3 ways to get there. I hope one of them helps.

I don’t throw it away until I’ve read it. How can one realistically complain about alpa National if they don’t read about alpa national? And if you throw it away before opening it, how can you even question the last time there was a worthwhile article?
Is this another one of those: I’m in the cool kids club because a virtue signal the act staying ignorant?

I read the fast read emails which contain any pertinent and timely ALPA business.
If you think in the year 2021 that printing and mailing Union news is the best use of resources that we fund then you’re entitled to that opinion.
It’s not personal. Are you the editor?

Haha, no not the editor. You said everyone throws it away. That’s not true. It’s just a personal pet peeve of mine to hear what you said. To me, it just seems like it’s the cool thing to say. The magazine has more information than you get in the fastread emails. But like I said, if you throw it away before opening it, how can you complain about no worthwhile articles? Those two statements don’t make sense together.

Tony, thanks for being one of the good ones. I hope they don't roll over. If I am incorrect please correct me---the MEC was approached BY the Company a few years ago to better our A plan and B plan and the MEC said no--if I am wrong please correct.
Why have we not seen a message saying everyone who starts the trip with a DH to follow it out of Memphis. The company overbooks us and needs us to deviate on the front end. If we do this for a week we will start to demonstrate our unity and expose the company for what it is doing. The Memphis folks need to also not accept draft as well. It is following their rules.
I expect the MEC and the negotiating committee to roll-over. As I wrote previously they need to be voted out and if they roll-over I hope another lawsuit happens.
The Memphis LCA's and Flex Instructors will do draft like they did last round, because they thought that was funny.

Why are we putting up with this? Fire the MEC and NC NOW! WTF are we wasting one more penny on allowing this dead end set of openers that this pathetic union “leadership” is pushing? So we spend tens of thousands pushing this losing position. It get voted down by the membership. Then we have to start all over. End it NOW!

The fact that we have pilots at FedEx who actually think this is a valid option for our union to communicate to the masses is a huge part of the problem. Educate yourselves on the RLA, status quo, self help, etc.
You have the option to make whatever personal decisions you want regarding your schedule, accepting draft, coming to MEM for DHs, etc. If you're expecting ALPA to tell you what decision to make, you're an idiot with absolutely no understanding of the RLA or how the section 6 negotiation process works. Coming on to social media and declaring what the pilot group should be doing as a unified effort to hurt the company's bottom line during negotiations is a sure fire way to earn us a law suit if an effort like you describe ends up actually being effective.

In all honesty get real. Will you be the first one to volunteer to fill one of the spots? Oh and if you win, the internet professionals will criticize your every move. I cant wait!!!
PS: Maybe me and you could be running mates haha. Nah, I enjoy my free time to much.

Oh 100% agree your "guess" should be more, I agree with you there, but our RLG just doesn't add top to that number to justify it.
It is also nice of you to cherry pick the highest paying airframe we have. How about posting the 757 statistics for full disclosure.
This was one of the major problems I had with the APLA pancake simulator. It used crazy pirates, unrealistic market returns, and 1000 hours for yearly BLG. Not a true representation or reality.

The buds I have who transitioned from 77FO to 75C said they took a pay cut to do so. Granted, that's been awhile, but I'm betting the top of the WB FO seats are pretty heavy with some Senior FO's. Many of whom are "working" more than 1000 hours a year.
