Default Do We Deserve A New Contract?

Survey style questions/

Have we sent the message to the company as a united pilot force that we deserve a contract? Have we participated? As you fly the line and talk with fellow pilots, would you asses the majority as having traits of those who are fighting to get a contract? As you hear fellow pilots interact, do you feel the majority are sacrificing for the betterment of the group or only thinking about themselves?

Absolutely not. Most have participated by not flying their line. Nope. Only thinking bout themselves.

It is becoming clear we don’t have a problem with OUR current contract. Most have made choices to support the current contract by the choices they make.

OUR BIGGEST ENEMY IS AMONGST US! OUR FELLOW PILOTS

After the Chairmans communication sent out today to ALL pilots let me ask again. Do we deserve a contract?

Honest questions: How does one tell a new hire without prior airline experience that flying their line is how we get a contact? Won't the NMB or a judge have a problem with that based on status quo? What historical example can one give to that new hire that this methodology has forced a company to the table in the past? thanks.

2015 and MD-11 F/Os. How does someone have a problem with pilots doing their job well?

One says: "In terms of the contract, here is how it has gone down in the past and why it went down that way"

Leave it at that. You've done nothing more than give a little history lesson. Anyone who is open to doing the right thing will be able to extrapolate. Anyone too selfish or stupid to extrapolate was never gonna get it.

Our industry is littered with examples. You have to want to find them. Read Flying The Line 1 and 2 or the podcast. You get it free through ALPA. Ask any experienced airline pilot and they will tell you almost every contract was achieved when the pilots placed pressure on the company.

If you can honestly tell yourself you are applying pressure while being greedy and working against the collective then you may want to assess your integrity.

WITH OR WITHOUT YOU !!!

Know your history. The company came to the negotiating table with a concessionary / bankruptcy era contract. This is how much management values your commitment to work during a pandemic which has killed millions including several of our coworkers all while making records profits.
