[QUOTE=hoya saxa;3414091]That was the part of that story that always cracked me up. I’ll give him benefit of the doubt that he forgot to take it off. Still, a self-inflicted wound. Name of the game is to stay under the radar.
I guess its the sign to tell other deadheaders "hey join me". But we stick out like a sore thumb wearing Columbia fishing shirts and Khakis lol.

I actually love threads like this. For outsiders looking into FedEx - All they see are some FedExers loudly wailing about jacket liners and lie flat seats. These are good problems to have. I'm not saying the job is perfect, don't get me wrong. While the high school cheerleader issues on here are sometimes embarrassing, once the 12 angry men are blocked/silenced, some civil discussion can commence.
I'd guess that many reading our threads would love to have our problems. It's all about perspective.

Talent? Tough guy? Another one making things personal here. If we were having this conversation in person, it would literally take a minute or two to say all the things we just said in a matter of fact way, like I’m trying to do here. And it would conclude with agreeing to disagree. Like it will here.
It’s not a huge deal. It’s a pet peeve. Nowhere did I say I would not follow the rules. That wasn’t the point. The point was pointing out a rule that seems to have lived beyond its usefulness. And my reasoning for that position is that other airlines don’t care what their own deadheaders wear as long as it conforms to what they require their the paying passengers to wear.
I apologize for bringing up a rule that I think is useless. God forbid anyone on this forum ever doing such a thing while also trying to have other more substantive conversations. Thank you for the indulgence though. Hopefully you don’t continue to think less of me.

I wonder why that keeps happening to you? It couldn't have anything to do with your comments! I mean, suggesting that someone can't walk and chew gum at the same time or telling them to leave a conversation if they don't agree with you isn't making things personal. Those are things you usually say when in a face to face conversation, right? How many more victim cards are you going to play?

I get your point. There's another forum to which bigger issues are discussed. This is just a forum that some people think they can post and remain anonymous.

You are right. I don’t post a whole lot on here…I typically ask myself “is this constructive? Would it help the whole group?” before I post. Then I promptly ****.
Sure wish JF wasn’t on FB; then I’d be all about joining a constructive chat. If it ever moves off that platform, I’d be interested in participating.
PS…since posting we’ve got another thread about AOC TVs. Real bad problems we have at FedEx. To all prospective candidates…come on in, the water is fine.

Lay flat seats are a big issue for MOST FedEx pilots -- no need to divide the pilot group. There's really no such thing as "domestic" as every aircraft except the Airbus (I think) flies in other continents. And as such you could be scheduled a long haul commercial flight.

People read too much into written comments. I always try give the benefit of the doubt because I can’t see body language and gestures or hear intonation, tone or volume.
I voiced a pet peeve and someone is essentially telling me to not speak because they don’t think it’s important. Others call names like they are in grade school. I would like to believe this wouldn’t happen if we were having a face to face discussion.
In other snarky comments and questions you want to make? I just made a simple gripe, that’s all it was. I have not questioned the importance of anyone’s comments nor have resorted to ad hominem. Sorry, but it is a bit frustrating that the same isn’t reciprocated.

Well, people here make things personal. I doubt that if in person, someone would say lets talk about more important things than your pet peeve. I mean, unless they are just rude or have no people skills.
