Depends what qualifies as huge:
TWA, Continental, USAir, America West, Northwest, Aloha, ATA, ValuJet, Southwest

So…CGN?

You're splitting hairs!

"It will also rightsize its air network within Europe and implement a new U.S. network design for improved pickup and delivery efficiency."

I don't know what this means exactly, but it might be germane to this thread.

No, you didn't answer the question. The question was what were the other 9 huge legacy airlines that were around 25 years ago. For the answer to be correct, the airlines must have qualified as a legacy airline, they must have been operating in February of 1998, and they must have been huge. That was what the statement I was asking about stated. Since there are currently 5 legacy airlines left, huge must mean that they were bigger than Alaska and Hawaiian airlines are, since they didn't qualify as a huge legacy today.

It also depends on them being a legacy and in operation in 1998.

He missed his calling to be an attorney. Always bogs you down in the minutia to waste your time arguing about absolutely nothing. Family members love when he shows up to thanksgiving dinners.

Sorry, I meant to say 12 medium sized majors. There are 3 huge ones today and then there were many small and medium sized ones.
