Um yeah no. As one of those guys who lives in base and utilizes a company jumpseat to get home early, even from places like DEN or JAX, I don’t …

When you guys start showing up for LEC and MEC meetings as well as the picketing events, then maybe I’ll think about commuters when I deadhead home. Until then, you can go … you know the thing.

How about that for unity.

ummmmm, read my post again… That was in reference to star clipper saying that Pilot should have priority on the cockpit Jumpseat, but I was pointing out that they’re in the same area

Flight attendants have an FAA certificate the same as us as well. Should they get to ride our Jumpseats also? jk

More specifically, you are referring to the 767s, which there are about 125 out of 420 total aircraft.

You understand that dispatchers have a certain amount of required flight deck observation time that they have to get every year? That's per the regulations. Don't like it, take it up with the FAA.

128 767 airplanes with jumpseats in the cockpit only, and 7 or 8 MD with cockpit only. Thats 135 airplanes with cockpit only jumpseats. 30 or so MD, 56 airbus, 115 757 and 50 777 with seates not in the cockpit. 250 aircraft with seats in the back.
Do you work here?

Well, GS, you sure don't pay much attention. Dispatchers ae required to ride/observe once a year as thier job but also, seeing as they hold FAA licenses they meet all of the criteriato occupy the jumpseat.
Mechanics also hold FAA licenses.

We don't have flight attendants so thats a moot point . But their FAA "certs" are not a real cert in the sense that it is not portable it belongs to the airline when they leave the airline they lose the cert. it is a certificate of demonstrated proficiency.

I think you're mistaken . If you have a BP4 it is business priority. Staging commuters as far as mechanics and GOC is below that ( BP7) . Pilots all seem to use BP4 so if a mechanic or GOC is bumping you it is because they are riding company business and booked before you did. If it is a GOC fam ride they used to be a must ride I think they changed that rule tho when pilots started complaining about being bumped it may just be business now.
