QOL issues keep mounting, and Flight Ops support seems to be quickly evaporating. Some aspects of our airline are beginning to resemble the regional airline I left two decades ago.

You know the feeling? Like death by a thousand cuts.

Management: Sorry but your expense report is late and we have to deduct those hotel bills from your pay

Also management: Sorry the bid is late. It’s complicated lol

With the closing of two bases known well in advance and a limited number of pilots who could bid, how hard can it be?

But then the SLG software program hasn't been changed since 2015 as promised.

The clarification is in Section 24. You get a seat based on seniority if the dynamic staffing level is less than the minimum staffing level. That is a vacancy. The actual number of people in the seat is less than the required amount. The only seats that meet that requirement are the 77FM and 75FM. The rest of the seats are seats being made available for excess. The dynamic staffing level starts at the current staffing level listed in the bid, and then changes as the bid starts to fill out. In previous vacancy bids, the minimum and maximum staffing levels were the same, just like the 77FM on this bid. The company could have made the minimum and maximum levels in the other seats the same if they wanted. If they had decided to move the maximum level down to meet the minimum level, then there would have been a lot more pilots sent to the 75FM seat. If they had moved the minimum number up to the maximum, then everyone would have been able to bid as a vacancy, including those in the closed bases. Hope this makes it a little more clear.
^^ This is where all the confusion is coming from.. . Using the 76FM as an example, on the bid they say they are adding 104 767FM slots but yet the staffing currently shows 475/475/579. (current/min/max) Well to MOST people, that looks like there is 104 vacancies because they are ADDING those slots. But for contract bidding purposes, that is not considered a vacancy because current is equal to min. On most other seats, the min/max are the SAME.. As you stated, the company could have easily done the same with those numbers on that fleet but they wanted to control who goes where and decrease the training events.

Has there been any further explanation to the lack of Practice Bid 2?

Does the System Bid still close Monday?

I cannot find any information on PFC, company email, nowhere. Anyone?

Practice bid 2 results and closing of the system bid both delayed because they have no idea what they are doing. Update forthcoming with the new dates of practice bid 2 and closing of the bid. Also updated anticipated throughput for MEM11 and MEM30 training to 0-4/month. FCIF yesterday

My FO said he saw the FCIF yesterday, I never got it and I'm told many others were also not in receipt. Who's running this clown show?

Practice bid #2 will now occur on Tuesday, 5/2 with the final bid closing on 5/8. Per FCIF this morning.

Does this mean that Practice #1 results were garbage? If so, shouldn't CE demand that they start over from square one just on principal alone? This place is turning into a sh!t$how at an ever-increasing rate.

Better yet, after they close the bid, file a grievance to invalidate the entire thing because of non-compliance with the contractual requirements of the bidding process.
