I think they’re about to see some serious attrition like they’ve never seen before.

I'm pretty sure that's what they want. 480 MEM 757 FO's. They're gonna be paying 280 guys min RLG (or less) for the foreseeable future. They want those guys to quit.

480? how did you get that math

Also...maybe I missed something but if you add up all of the numbers in the max staffing levels I come up with 5518 (I've checked a couple of times and the math is correct). That is WELL SHORT of the number of pilots on property. Did I miss something? Where are these 400+ folks supposed to be going?

Actually, it says " This bid ASSUMES that we will not hire any pilots through FY24". Going to depend on how many guys bail when the contract is settled or when the 30 year MD CPTs in Ca. decide they aren't coming back to MEM.. !

we still won't hire unless 1000+ quit.

Why would any quit when they get to sit and get paid? Oh wait, FedEx sucks now.

Who wants to commute to short call reserve in MEM for 68hrs a month (or less) at 757 pay rates for the next two years or more?

Not really disagreeing with you, but when the bid has to move us into available slots we are going to be 400-500 slots short to put people into...so again where are these bodies supposed to move to? The majority of the retirements (less than 200) won't happen until December and they can't really plan for attrition...

THIS. Also BINGO…so I can meet min character reqs.

If you’re in the pool (or junior on property) think about if this is really what you want.
