You should read UPS's Common Carrier scope section limiting on what they can outsource. After somebody mentioning it, you can find it on the contract comparison on the FDX ALPA page.

A copy and paste of UPS language would fix this ASL issue.
Would it? How many Astar planes are on the UPS CGN ramp a day? How does our Euro flying compare now to what it was before the TNT acquisition? |

How does our Euro flying compare now to what it was before the TNT acquisition? You are asking questions as a form of rebuttal. That doesn’t work. Give us some actual info. |

3-18 and JD, the problem is that UPS pilots are NLA. We are RLA. I haven’t received the answer yet as to specifically why but a rep told me the RLA/CBA is not enforceable to anything that doesn’t touch the USA. As soon as I get a more detailed answer I’ll post it.
IPA has managed to enforce their "if UPS pilots can legally fly it, UPS pilots will fly it" scope clause in at least one scenario (CGN-IST-TLV). Took a grievance to make it happen, but they did enforce it. |

Absolutely, positively, 100% incorrect. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The current CGN bidpack contains about 50% more regular credit hours than before the TNT purchase. |
UPS Airlines pilots represented by the IPA are absolutely governed by the Railway Labor Act, as are UPS Airlines mechanics and dispatchers.
UPS Teamsters-represented Ground employees, which include the people who work in sort facilities and gateways, are governed by the NLRA. That's why the Teamsters can strike at the stroke of midnight on August 1st this summer if their contract expires. Also, Astar is the original DHL Airways that ceased operation in 2012, whereas Star Air (Maersk Air Cargo) operates some European cabotage routes. |

You are asking questions as a form of rebuttal. That doesn’t work. Give us some actual info. Well, you decided to do the same. Maybe you think it is a rebuttal because you don't think you will like the answers. |
